Some days I play with artifacts, other days I muck out the sheep barn. I’m a lucky gal. she/her
James Carville looks as if Judge Doom from Who Framed Roger Rabbit and a partially melted fedora Nazi from Raiders of the Lost Ark had a love child.
Post a perfect album from the 90's that isn't nirvana, soundgarden, pearl jam, or alice in chains
Y’all are going to have to work ridiculously hard to bring me more joy than this lil fella did this morning.
My wee petite croissant. My precious cinnamon roll. My crispy fried chicken. My pink beaned fiend.
Yeah yeah, the antemosaic, unsourced existence of the unspeakable terrors of the whale. We’ve all seen it.
Day 26) Today I am thankful for: Dogs. They’re pretty great, y’all. ❤️ I saw a dog do 2 big stretches today and the owner didn’t say “ooh big stretch” either time. Both the dog and I were disappointed in them.
Day 20) Today I am thankful for: Caffeine. I don’t like coffee—I like drinks that taste good? I basically don’t drink anything without caffeine in it. That’s probably bad, 🤷♀️ ehh. Caffeine makes my ADHD brain a teeny tiny bit more cooperative, acting as a stimulant (& addictive substance.)
Day 19) Today I am thankful for: Veterinary staff. They work long hours, short staffed, with enormous debt, & often without benefits. They do it for the love of animals & owners, & because they’re damn good at it. They care for patients who can’t tell them what’s wrong. I miss the chaos often ❤️
Day 8) Today I am thankful for: Emotional Support Livestock. Technically, these guys are considered “living collections,” since they help interpret our history. But, really, they help me feel not quite as rage-y at work. They’re cute too, so that helps.
Day 3) Today I am thankful for: The bosque. Adults don’t get to play & explore enough. The forest offers chances to romp, find fun creatures, & forget the outside world for awhile. My bosque at work just happens to be very Middle Earth-y, which really works for me. Go frolic in the forest, y’all!
Day 2) Today I am thankful for: These hams. They have bitten me, pulled out my hair, slapped me, and talked back…But that’s just kids, right?
Evidently someone didn’t get all the litter off his feet and then riverdanced across every surface in my bathroom. It was either Michael Flatley or one of these guys…
Man, we really dropped the ball when we got rid of intricate door plates. I’m hunting for details on this bad boy. It was tucked in an apple crate in a shed, covered in decades of dust. I’m guessing 1890s-1920s, but I’m certainly no expert. Hopefully I can report back with more info.🤞
@jaredgonia.bsky.social Could have used your mechanical expertise on this tetanus machine today… but I finally got it rotating again. 🙌
I’ve found my true calling!! I shall teach them well, all they need to know. Before they slither through those do—hmm? Oh…oh. Well. Nevermind. I’m being told this is something else.
