A shot, now with a lamp behind the loveseat, of a living room with a 1960s/70s vibe, but incorporating some Prairie School or Arts & Crafts influence. The wall in question is behind a semi-high backed loveseat, and between two high windows. In a more traditiobal house, this would be where a fireplace was located, with bookshelves under the windows. Alas, no fireplace, so I decorated with the loveseat as the focal instead.

I need advice. The windows need covering, cause my neighbor's yard is RIGHT there. But the wall looks so bare. What do I put there that won't compete with the faux stained glass and/or look cluttered?

This crocheted join as you go method is fairly straightforward. Still loving the color riot. 🧶

8 crocheted squares have been joined into one long strip of 7, plus 1 square of a second row. The colors are a very 1970s rec room chic collection of oranges, yellows, browns, pinks, blues, and beiges.

4 crocheted squares made in moss stitch, with colors alternating every 2 or 3 rows.

First two tester squares done. And I think this is gonna work out just fine.

On top of my color-coded list of the 12 yarns I'm using for this project are two multi-colored crocheted squares. The color sequences from the center out, featuring 5 colors for each square, some colors unique and aome duplicated between squares.

The latest landscaping jernt is this little area by the chain link. It had been just weedy grass there that grew long and messy against the fence. The pavers were free. The plants are annuals-- I'll be doing proper NJ native sedum next spring. Plus some cedar and rocks for ambiance.

Shot looking down at a suburban back yard. The grass looks deceptively green because I brightened the over-exposed, sunny pic. There is an old wood garage with rainbow bunting hanging off it, and that's a backdrop for two brown wood lounge chairs. The little landscaping section in question is fairly small, with sparse plantings. But it mirrors another section with paver blocks that we can see on the opposite side of the yard, creating balance and visual interest. Regardless, the chain link fence is still conspicuously ugly.

Reblocked, now with starch. (It would have bugged me every day if I hadn't redone it.)

The cream colored knit window curtain I keep posting. It now fits more squarely in the window, so you can no longer see the ugly vinyl window frame around the corners.

After 2+ years here, I've finally made a little curtain for the downstairs bathroom window.

I was having issues a year or so back. I was sure it couldn't be the Base Culture bread, cauae it's *certified* grain-free, and I was avoiding their yeast options. But just in case, I reached out about the lactic acid in their ingredients. Long story short, there is now this warning in their FAQ.

Clear sign I've got some hidden corn getting me: waking up with my hands curled into claws. Back before I identified the problem, my finger and wrist joints would be so stiff that I couldn't knit.
