Join us Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM to knock on doors, meet neighbors, and build the momentum to win AD-16. First-time canvassers are always welcome. Bring a friend and help us make a difference—one conversation at a time.
It’s not too late to join us tomorrow! Join the North Hempstead Democrats tomorrow at 11:30 AM as we talk with neighbors in Roslyn and Albertson about what’s at stake this November. Whether you’ve canvassed before or it’s your first time, we’d love to have you on the team.
My statement in response to Donald Trump’s July 16 primetime speech: We should be encouraging Americans to vote—not spreading fear and undermining confidence in our elections before Election Day.
A great morning with the incredible Engage LI volunteers writing postcards for my campaign and Juleigh Chin’s. Grassroots energy like this makes all the difference. So grateful—and proud—to have their support!
I had a great time knocking doors in Plandome Heights on Monday! We’re canvassing every Monday and Wednesday in neighborhoods across the district. Join us! ✊✊🚪🚪🇺🇸🇺🇸 Sign up with this link: mobilize.us/s/k1ppZT
The first responders, workers, survivors, and families still living with the health consequences of 9/11 deserve the full truth. That includes thousands of LIers whose lives were changed by the toxic air around Ground Zero. NYC must release all relevant records and provide full transparency.
Funday Monday was a great reminder of what makes our community so special. It was wonderful connecting with so many seniors, and I’ll keep fighting for the programs that help them stay active and engaged.
I support putting LI families ahead of Big Tech. We can't allow huge AI data centers to raise electric bills, strain our grid, and threaten our environment while everyday New Yorkers foot the bill. Let's protect ratepayers first and make sure any future development actually benefits our communities.
Yesterday evening's Manhasset Al Fresco was a blast! Thriving downtowns are crucial for Long Island’s future economic vitality, and it's encouraging to see such enthusiasm for Manhasset's businesses and community. Thank you to the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce for making this event happen!
Long Island’s drinking water, wetlands, and coastlines depend on healthy habitats. The Trump administration is trying to weaken the Endangered Species Act by pretending habitat destruction isn’t harm—all to benefit special interests. I’ll keep fighting to protect our environment and our future.
This Saturday at 11:59 PM is our campaign’s next filing deadline. Every filing is a snapshot of where we stand, and each donation helps us reach even more voters. Will you chip in? Scan the QR code, go to my website, or visit app.bitly.com/Bo15fbrFN2L/... Thank you for your support!!
Trump is gutting gun violence prevention while communities are doing the work to save lives. Long Island’s violence interrupters, survivor advocates, and local groups rely on funding to prevent violence and support families. NY must keep leading — and I’ll fight to make sure we do.
Ready to knock on doors to support the Democratic ticket? Join the “McKimterns” & volunteers for a canvass launch on Saturday! And join us Mondays & Wednesdays for weekday canvassing! Sign up here for Saturday: www.mobilize.us/nassaucounty... Sign up here for weekdays: mobilize.us/s/k1ppZT
Today, I had the privilege of visiting the Sid Jacobson JCC and seeing some of their remarkable community programs in action. Their staff and volunteers take a comprehensive view of individual well-being and are deeply committed to bringing people together. I am so grateful for all they do!
I had a great time at yesterday’s NAACP North Shore Branch Health Fair and Old Timers Day celebration at Whitney Pond Park. The Old Timers tradition goes back 87 years in Manhasset, and the event now promotes community health as well as connection. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!
Happy 4th of July! As we celebrate America’s 250th, I’m reminded of our nation’s founding promise: democracy, freedom, equality, and opportunity for all. That promise is what I’m fighting for — a government that protects our rights, honors our diversity, and helps every family thrive.
63,000 Long Islanders lost health coverage due to the One Big Beautiful Bill. This article explains why this will have a domino effect throughout the entire system, making healthcare more expensive for ALL of us. In the Assembly, I will always fight to expand access to health care and lower costs.
July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate people with disabilities and recommit to the fight for access, dignity, independence, and inclusion. True inclusion means accessible schools, transportation, workplaces, housing, health care, and public spaces and making sure every voice is heard.
I had a great time last night attending the Village of Great Neck Plaza summer concert series. The summer concerts are an amazing way to meet people around the district, and it’s wonderful that the village devotes so much care to community building and summer fun. Check out the full schedule here!
My statement on 68,000 Long Islanders losing Essential Plan coverage today.
My statement on the Supreme Court’s decision upholding birthright citizenship.
Yesterday, I had the solemn pleasure of attending the unveiling of the Betty Leong memorial bench at Michael J. Tully Park. Betty’s devotion to public service was an inspiration, and I’m hopeful that her legacy will serve as a reminder to us all to #BeLikeBetty in our leadership, service, and lives.
You know it’s summer on Long Island when you can go to your favorite park and enjoy live music! This weekend I enjoyed the Library Jazz Band at the Sousa Band Shell & The Bodega Tallboys at North Hempstead Beach Park. Thx to the Bandshell & the Town for bringing these great bands to our community!
Thank you to the Sierra Club for endorsing my Assembly campaign! As a longtime champion for environmental protection, ecological stewardship, and climate action, I’m proud to have the support of an organization with such a distinguished record of advocacy for our planet.
Thanks to Ann and Norman for opening up their home and inviting friends from all over the North Shore to join me, Sean McCarthy, Rory Lancman, and Jon Kaiman (representing Tom Suozzi ) for a meet & greet. If you would like to host a meet & greet in your home, please reach out to my campaign!
It was an honor to join the students from Can You Help Too at the opening of their exhibit in the Children’s Room at the Port Washington Public Library! Congratulations to the students for this well-deserved recognition of your work providing food assistance for our neighbors in need!
Teaching at an all-boys school early in my career showed me how real mental health challenges are for men and boys. This Men’s Mental Health Month, we need to break the stigma, address loneliness and isolation, support mental health education, and make sure no one suffers in silence.
This Supreme Court decision is cruel, reckless, and morally indefensible. Ending TPS for Haitian and Syrian immigrants puts families at risk and threatens to tear communities apart — including here on Long Island. We should protect our immigrant neighbors, not force them into danger.
June is Immigrant Heritage Month, and a great time to celebrate our immigrant neighbors and their contributions to LI's economy, culture, and life. This month, we honor the impact immigrants have had on Long Island life and culture and renew our commitment to building inclusive and safe communities.
Four years after Roe was overturned, women are dying because politicians banned abortion. Abortion care is health care. Reproductive care saves lives. I will never stop fighting to protect access, defend our rights, and keep politicians out of our most personal medical decisions.
