I realized lately that, because dysphoria and all, I've rarely, if ever, posted pictures of myself where I didn't have a facefull of makeup on. And honestly? I think I wanna try and fight back against that a little, like I'm realizing that long term, it's not exactly GREAT for my own self-image

Starting to get a few Gunpla from the OG series now, so I tried my hand in posing them up in a bit of a dramatic fashion for once (Plus I really wanted to try out the 30MM missiles they had at my local store)

Like, on the left, there's a recreation of the sprites I just made (Sans the claw), and one the sprites that looking vaguely in the same direction And it looks a bit funky right? Like the inner edge of the mask is way harsher than on other sprites, hell on some they remove the edge entirely
And it's clearly not a case of flipped artwork, because the placement of the little weird J on his mask and his chest tatoo is still consistent But I think what trips me up the most is Street Fighter IV bothering to give him two different art on the versus screen to reflect the tatoo's asymetry
Where were you when you realize that, for some reason, in the transition to 3D, the end of Balrog/Vega's snake tattoo that wraps around his arm moved from his right arm to his left??
Oh! Last post, just wanted to show off that some progress has been made on Harpy Lady 1, I just need to do her talons, and obviously, texture her arms/wing things. In an ideal world I'd also redraw her a new face, but that'd be way too much work for what was supposed to be a quick shitpost #WIP
Oh! I guess that's as good an excuse as any to show off that I did an Arcade Stick model waaaaaay back in the day, that was straight up my old Tatsunoko vs Capcom Wii Arcade Stick You can tell it's an old model because I used Octogons instead of Hexagons to model "A Thing That Is Round" #HaNeulArt
My "Wii Pro Controller to USB" adapter replacement finally arrived in the mail!? Let's go??? Finally I'm gonna be able some proper god damn gaming in this house
Mostly I tried giving this method a shot because trying to use Blender's Grease Pencil doesn't work for models like Blue-Eyes White Dragon, which have part of it that are just flat texture with transparency The first one uses Grease Pencil and you can clearly see the "real" outline of the wings
Also, guess who decided to mess with the way she does her outline a SEVENTH TIME? Experimented with going back to duplicating the model, but trying to see if using a displacement modifier alongside the second model's normals might work better than scaling it, and I'm kinda happy with it this time?
