Had an interesting afternoon listening to Daniel Wu discuss his role in “Cold War 1994” and why he likes filming in Asia so much. I recorded it, so I’ll upload it when I get back home.
I just heard from @timessqkungfu.bsky.social that the immensely talented Tony Stella has passed away. A friend of his posted it on Instagram, though details are limited right now. My thoughts and prayers go out to Tony's family. He will be deeply missed by all.
I completely missed it yesterday, but happy 36th birthday to Hedwig Tam. Here’s to another year of wonderful movies from my favorite modern HK star.
That Tony Stella art going hard for Bushido. Great film, too. It will finally be hitting US theaters on March 13, 2026, courtesy of @filmmovement.bsky.social.
I've written for outlets such as Destructoid, TheGamer, Nintendo Wire, and Flixist. I've also done commentary work for 88 Films, Spectrum Films, and Shout Factory. You can even find my writing in Blu-Ray releases from Arrow Films and Vinegar Syndrome.
I've been putting this off for too long, but I need to do one of those "looking for work posts." I'm open to full-time, part-time, or freelance work in either games or films media/criticism. I have experience as a news writer, interviewer, video editor, sound editor, and essayist.
I do have cool ass Blu-Ray of the film, though. Vinegar Syndrome teamed up with Dekanalog for this and I had to have it.
Arrow's artwork for "City on Fire" is... wow. I'm fucking blown away. Tony Stella strikes again.
Since the OG post was deleted, here is a screen from the PS2 version. It's not as bloomed out as the HD one, but it's still better looking than the remake.
Forgot to post this the other night, but why did nobody tell me I have a cameo in Clair Obscur?
