Found myself wondering this afternoon if Dianne Court's dad from the movie Say Anything had enough political juice to get a Presidential pardon from Trump during the first term for being treated "very unfairly" or whatever, or if he had to wait for the second go around?

Dianne Court and her dad standing by the window incredulously watching Lloyd Dobler (outside of the picture) doing a dopey looking walk/dance back to his beat up car. This confirming that her dad was right and Lloyd was in no way upset or even concerned that Dianne called Lloyd "basic" during their date. Spoiler alert though, although Mr. Court seems like a good guy up to this point in the movie, he is in fact, not a good guy.
