Plus I messed up placement of some squares and didn’t feel like unstitching so I added the 2 black strips to add some separation. Basically the pattern is 9 squares, 8 framed around a central character. Then those sewn together to make the long line….

Here’s where I am so far. Made some 3x3 patchwork squares for each sister for the top tier. I’ve got 6 done so far and I *think* I need 2 more. Unfortunately that’s gonna be a cutoff point for me as I need more fabric, and can’t buy more till my next paycheck 💸
