I post about depression and motherhood a lot! Also deconstructing Mormonism, sometimes. PNW ❤️
😯😍 I got a surprise delivery from a presale I made last month, I'm so excited for this Korean take on Pride and Prejudice 🙌 I've only heard good things about June Hur's other books!
And wouldn't you know, mental health walks are probably good for little kids, too - after clinging to my hand in worry, she finally relaxed near a little spot by the pond and played, and she seems much happier (for now 🥲)
My 5yo brought home a little arrangement from school (they've been learning about leaves). It's probably not for me but I did get to hold it while she played at our little neighborhood park after she got home 🥰
Oh my godddddddd my kid wanted a "silent salt cookie" cake (she's really into the mobile game cookie run kingdom) and her only request was black and grey. I should have bought black frosting and kept it simple.......... Anyway it should taste good. I included the reference photo for your enjoyment 🫠
Aaaah I finally cut my hair, it was getting so long. And also cutting it is SO therapeutic
I took a little video to demonstrate how unusual it sounds played as a scale
Our closest "big" park (it has swings) has these chimes and I realized they were an octave starting at B?? Locrian? I'm dying to know the thought process behind that
It finally happened to me! I got a bad AI answer. Kiddo is playing "shortest answer wins" and doesn't know supervillains, so I tried to search to see if there was a name shorter than Loki. WHOOPS.
Barnes and Noble had a lovely display of printed pages 😍 I didn't even know I was into pretty books but I loved them
Having little children is a constant discovery of cute imagination moments - dolls tucked in, stuffies sitting down to tea, a lone shoe balanced on the speaker (and less cute, watery/soapy/dusty messes). I never know what I'm going to find! Or where I'll find it! 😂😍
I saw this on the face book and remembered someone pointing out logistical issues... California alone would double the population of Canada 😭
Oh wow these bagels are CHEWY, almost too chewy (almost). Still not certain if I'd make them regularly, but maybe if I can't find my favorite on sale, I have a good recipe
Update: not a mess or even burned but mostly just okay. Probably should have used a different recipe, or cut up more apples. But I had fun so I'll call it a win Oh! Probably should have added cinnamon 🤦 maybe that's why it tasted a little odd
Normally I hate my morning cpap hair but this morning it was strangely delightful 😅
We had pie for breakfast! My 8yo offered to take a picture of the pies for me, since my 5yo was playing on my phone, so this is all I've got 😅
I made bread! It's maybe not the most delicious bread I've ever made in my life but I like it a lot
My 5yo ate the frosting off the last quarter of the cake 😑 I mean, it's sort of her birthday cake, too (I bought tiny cakes for her and my birthday these past months) but COME ON 😤
Last year my MIL gave me a nativity cookie roller, and the first thing I saw was Batman 😅
