Ok, but it is objectively funny that Steve Simon had the highest vote count of any candidate for statewide or federal office in MN today. Higher than Klobuchar. Higher than Ellison. Yes, he ran unopposed, but that means a LOT of voters still took time to make triple, quadruple sure he won.

I love a Minnesota voter. It's uncontrsted, he can't possibly lose, but everyone still took the time to fill in the circle, like, yes, this is my civic duty. Also happy to see the 50k lead over total votes on the GOP side. Hopefully a good sign for Nov.

Bigoted doesn't mean biased. It means an irrational hatred for outgroups. She called it a *truth* that a lot of black folks are "just as bigoted as white americans..." That's not a truth. It's not backed by data or history. That you are comfortable w/it doesn't mean I need to be.

A) That you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't happening. B) Islamophobia is real, it's wrong, and too many on left, right, and center engage in it. C) If you are trying to tell me Black people don't face routine, pernicious, and unchecked discrimination in this country, you are wildly unaware.

Lots of important stuff, but these two stood out from the analysis: 1) Americans are not helpless. 2) No ideology or authoritarian state is self-executing. You facilitate it by insisting you have no choice and you halt it by refusing to lend it the legitimacy and weight of your participation.
