Reflections of Venice: A shop window with beautiful traditional artisan-made masks for the Carnivale 🎭 #Venice #Carnevale #Glass #BlueskyArtShow #Masquerade
I can actually see the Eildon Hills from my window. This view is a short walk from my home.

A small copper 🦋 for #ButterflyWeek! 🧡 This photo was taken at Thornielee Forest in the #ScottishBorders 🏴 in August 2021, the same day my family went to visit a traditional "clootie tree" around there. (It felt like a good omen.) #ShotOnCanon #SmallCopper #Butterfly #Scotland
Late entry for this week's #BlueskyArtShow. Found a lovely wee friend at the train station yesterday. 🦋 #Quiet #Butterfly #Scotland

#Macro shot of palette knife textures made with acrylic paint. Very satisfying! #BlueskyArtShow #AnalogueArt
I do love a nice ampersand. 😍 (I am a graphic designer after all!) #BlueskyArtShow #Macro #Typography
“Hope” is the thing with feathers - That perches in the soul - And sings the tune without the words - And never stops - at all. 🪶 - Emily Dickinson #BlueskyArtShow #Macro #Poetry
It IS too hot. So I decided to make a pretty salad last night!
Probably one of my favourite flower photos I've ever taken. 🌸 A dahlia delight! #BlueskyArtShow #Curve #Bloomscrolling
The Leaderfoot Viaduct, near Melrose in the south of Scotland. 🏴 This bridge formerly formed part of the old Waverley Line, a train line which used to connect Edinburgh with Carlisle - Melrose being one of the stops on the route which has preserved the old station platform. #BlueskyArtShow #curve
This week I've been decorating my hallway - spent a large chunk of today carefully removing a whole load of masking tape (the hall has a slightly ridiculous number of doorways + fixtures!). Took a while, but worth it for those nice clean, #sharp lines! 💚 #BlueskyArtShow
I did it!! Yesterday's Race for Life 10K in Edinburgh went well, and thanks to everyone's kind donations, I've raised just under £700 for @cancerresearchuk.org which is so wonderful! It really will make a difference 💕 There's still time to donate here: fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/cats-ra...
Well, tomorrow's the big day! Just about all set, got my back sign ready for the @cancerresearchuk.org Race for Life 10K in Edinburgh 💕 You can sponsor me here: fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/cats-ra...
Merci! 🖤 (Though I possibly prefer the original in colour, because the lighting is so cool!)
Pick a selfie from your gallery and turn it black and white. { also: remember to add alt text plz! }
🌸 Good morning 🌸 Yesterday I embarked on a 100 day project, with the aim of working on a zine page for the next 100 days, and hopefully having some completed zines by the end of it! Here's Day 1, a mixed media piece inspired by one of my fave flowers and #Bloomscrolling #100DaysProjectScotland
Another pic for this week's #BlueskyArtShow theme, #growth. 🌸 Cherry blossom pom-poms from last year. 🌸 #Bloomscrolling #SakuraSeason
Literal #growth in two senses - iris flowers blooming and development of my drawing skills. These are pages from my sketchbook when I took part in the 2024 edition of 100 Days Project Scotland. #BlueskyArtShow #AnalogueArt #TraditionalArt #Sketchbook #HandDrawn
The lovingly-restored 19th century Ross Fountain in Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens. Until today, I hadn't realised it was made from cast iron! Always lovely to see it working, especially so on a gorgeous sunny day. #BlueskyArtShow #Tall #Edinburgh
Monolith. Today's #BlueSkyArtShow theme is #Tall so here's an unusual view of the Scott Monument (aka the Gothic Rocket!) in Edinburgh, shot from below. #ShotOnCanon #Edinburgh #Scotland
Cherry trees in full swing, five years ago today. 🌸 Petals drifting like pink snow in all their ephemeral beauty. 📷 Bank Street Gardens, Galashiels, Scotland #Bloomscrolling #SakuraSeason #ThrowbackThursday
I don't often talk about my mental health here, but I've been struggling recently with anxiety & feeling pretty overwhelmed. Not sure what the "answer" is exactly, but getting outside does help a wee bit - especially with views like this on my doorstep. Trying to find gratitude for the good things.
This is one of the softest (and fluffiest) yarns I've ever worked with - a blend of silk, mohair and some metallic fibres for a wee bit of added glam factor. ✨ #BlueskyArtShow #soft #HandmadeLace #TextileDesign #KnittingSky
These were some fairly convincing not-real daffodils, until we realised they hadn't yet "gone over" like most of the real daffs have by this point in the year! #BlueSkyArtShow #Soft
Soft raindrops on bluebells in Ravelston Woods, Edinburgh. #BlueSkyArtShow #Soft #Bloomscrolling
Ok, so I may not have funky neon strings, but she's *sparkly* metallic purple! ✨💜✨
Hello #TulipTuesday! Photo from a visit to the lovely Hortus Botanicus in Amsterdam with @dinodragonrawrrr.bsky.social last April. 🌷 #Bloomscrolling #BotanicalGarden
