On Safari, copy to clipboard seems to always fail, but download works. I somehow ended up in a state where the letter spacing was too wide on Safari, and I think that's the wrong font. And then I hit reload and got a weird 3D effect. Reloading again fixed it.

If I adjust the font and/or height settings on one title card, then change to another title card, it resets the visual settings but doesn't reset the UI to reflect that. It would be nice to be able to force uncapital letters at the beginning of words, or use a title case rule.

I had this post on my mind today as I was listening to the audiobook of How Black Music Took Over the World, and this passage was a great summary of my thoughts. I may not be able to quiet the part of me that picks apart and analyzes the art I experience, but all I can do is learn to keep...

Listening to a masterful piece of music is sort of a microcosm of an apprenticeship. You’re drawn to concentrate on that particular piece of music for the same reason you’re drawn to learn from a master of an art. You’re drawn because of their superlative nature. As you invest time, the initial dazzle of their artistry wears off. Rather than experiencing that as a loss, however, you can seize it as an opportunity to discover their deeper layers. New listening, new understanding reveals itself. Your mental map starts to change. The novice recedes and the scientist starts to reveal himself. Becoming a masterful listener is an indispensable part of the process of becoming a great musician. Listening is what reveals the science of music. Similarly, invested listeners, fans of great music become adepts of musical science themselves.

Every single word from "some would argue" on was like slamming my head into a brick wall. Every time 404 reports on the law it makes me regret ever clicking through to a 404 link.

If you insulate the cubes well enough that they are only freezing from one direction, they can come out crystal clear. You do end up "making more ice than you need" but only because you need that reservoir of water to still be there when your cubes finish freezing.

A really not-great picture of some clear ice cubes that sat in the freezer for a while and sublimated, sitting in a bowl with a mum pattern so you can see the transparancy.
