Back from a weekend in Chicago where my girls live and ride public transportation every day. It’s a great, vibrant and beautiful city.
It all changes when one's kids enter the world of competitive sports/dance/theater/etc where the games or activities aren't in your neighborhood. One may get lucky and their kids don't want to participate or aren't good enough to do so, but if they do, biking won't get them where they need to be.
Spending some time in Denver in the Lohi area. Lot’s of great residential redevelopment that doesn’t overwhelm the neighborhood.
