i don't care how hard you push it on me, you're not going to get me to care about the teenage mutant ninja turtles
i love how the aetherdrift bloodghast is just a little fuckin gremlin creature
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin Very good! Definitely enjoyed it more than Dawn of Sorrow (aside from the sudden 4-portrait blast which felt a little like padding), but still not as good as AoS/SotN. Johnathan! Charlotte! Johnathan! Charlotte!
RUBATO Hooooly shit. RUBATO is an absolutely incredible game. I'm genuinely struggling on what to say about it that isn't just its genre and "it's incredible", because this is a game best experienced blind. It's clearly made with love. Please go watch the trailer!!
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow Has that Crust of being an Early DS title. Still a good metroidvania, better than HoD, worse than AoS/SotN. Magic Seal system fucking sucks and I don't think the changes to the Soul system really landed (this includes weapon crafting). Still enjoyed it though.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow Fucking incredible. Peak castlevania. Perfect length - Doesn't overstay its welcome and doesn't end abruptly, and the castle design is bounds better than HoD - it actually felt fun to traverse! Didn't much like the Arena though, ughhh. As good at SotN. Maybe better?
Hollow Knight I've heard nothing but good things about this. But something about that makes me wary. Maybe that's why I've never started playing... Hype backlash n' all that.
Hell Yeah! this is the most 2012 indie game I think I've ever seen. ... i'm half tempted to boot it up just to see how it's aged. Not in a wine way - in a milk left out of the fridge way.
GRIS Every game I keep listing here is like a "Oh, heard this game is really good, I should play it sometime!" ... this is yet another one.
Candice DeBébé's Incredibly Trick Lifestyle Bought this game on a friend's recommendation, never launched it. I really should!
Kentucky Route Zero Another game I heard was amazing I never started playing. ... that seems to be another running theme, haha.
Hyper Light Drifter ... y'know, I don't know why this has sat unplayed. I remember this game coming out and being a MASSIVE deal.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered I've wanted to get to playing this game since it released. I don't know what's stopped me. I've gotten to the end of disk 1 on PS1 before. ... maybe after I finish my Castlevania arc, I should actually finish FF8.
Yakuza Zero ... huh, guess this must've been a steam sale pickup. Probably should add these to the list of games to play soon, then!
The Talos Principle II The first game's amazing, why have I never played this??? turns out it's because I forgot I owned it!!! this seems to be a recurring theme. probably cause I have WAY too many games
Megaman Zero/ZX Legacy Collection Nothing I could say would justify this collection of peak being unplayed. Nothing.
F1 2019 Oh hey, it's a game I won for free from some steam event thing that... wait, it's unlisted now? Huhhh ... Probably still not gonna end up playing it unless I get INCREDIBLY bored and curious one day.
Dark Sector I'm curious enough about this game to own it. I'm not sure I feel like putting up with PS3-era grunge to play a game that's known for being a game held up with so much executive meddling that the developers made a little known game called Warframe, though?
Getting back to this! Baldur's Gate 3 A mix of "waiting for a good time" and "my autistic ass wants to play the first two first".
CONTROL Ultimate Edition Shit, I own this too? Why haven't I played it yet??
Homefront: The Revolution The only reason I bought this game was for the fully playable TimeSplitters 2 easter egg - I don't know anything about the actual game itself other than I don't think it'd be something I'm interested in. But PC playable TS2? Hell yeah.
Metal: Hellsinger yknow i didn't even know I had this game! I mean, I do now, so I should probably open that proverbial packaging and play it
Outer Wilds It's a mix of "wanting to stream it for a specific person", "waiting for a specific mood", and hype backlash making me trepidatious. I'd probably enjoy it but I just haven't found That Right Time to play it, I guess
Environmental Station Alpha Heard it's really good! Never gotten around to it
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance Definitely not as good as SotN. The castle design feels... weird, probably to account for the whole gimmick of the castle. Overall, still an enjoyable game though. I mean, I at least finished it, unlike Circle of the Moon!
Gnosia A single-player mafia/werewolf game is a bit of an unusual prospect, but Gnosia pulls it off. It also has a really interesting plot on top, even if the game being less VN-like makes it a bit less focused - but when it hits, it hits. I should watch the anime.
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Yeah, I see why this game is so highly regarded. It has some flaws, but it's clear that's from it being an ambitious game taking the Castlevania series into a new direction. Overall, they stuck the landing. Loved it.
