Well, the #switch2 has been out for a year today. Here's the first pic I took of it prior to starting work for the day. Had to wait all day to play it, but was able to transfer things from my OG Switch during my lunch break. Also, some treats Walmart included with it.

So, at the advice of @olifiers.bsky.social I replaced the 2 electrolytic caps. One actually had signs of minor leakage, though the other was fine and was in spec (tested after removal, replaced anyway.) Unfortunately, same result. Still, worth a shot. Will keep looking for a fix. Or a replacement.
Well, pretty sure this is done for... Doesn't read disks, doesn't eject disks. Windows does at least detect the drive. Multiple different systems, same result. Yes, manual eject does work. #zip #retrocomputing #iomega
So, NES with a bad PPU. Missing graphics on the car in Rad Racer (also Mario is missing half his body in Dr. Mario - not pictured.) Cleaning didn't work, cart connector ok. Replaced with a clone (I know I know...) but it works again! And yes, socketed. #nes #repair #retrogaming #radracer #drmario

#marchintosh shenanigans. Originally for a Plus, I soldered on a right-angle eurocard/euro din connector for the PDS slot. Got a semasimac at first, found out I needed to disconnect the A29 pin (or remove the GAL at U7.) Now it works! #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing #macintosh #apple

Quick update, got the floppy drive working! Had to fiddle with a few different belts that were "almost" the right size, ~100mm. If you've ever dealt with rubber belts before, you know...

The internal power supply is known to have bad caps. I already recapped a T1900C laptop. And had to replace the screen. Hoping this one fares better.
