#BookSky #KidLit At a bookstore in Mazatlán, I asked what were some popular books for middle grade kids and what a fun read this was! Now I need to read the rest of the series. It was also excellent for keeping up with my Spanish-speaking skills.

Anyone who loves to escape into a book will enjoy THE PAPER MUSEUM by Kate S. Simpson. The plot gets a bit complicated at times so there’s some explaining that pulls the reader away, but not for long. #BookSky #KidLit #Libraries

#BookSky #KidLit Thank you @barbaraoconnor.bsky.social for this beautiful novel. I fell in love with Charlie & Howard & their loving family members. Not everyone is made for loving and caring for children. I hope children who weren’t lucky in that department find WISH and a family too.

#BookSky I got this from our neighborhood #LittleFreeLibrary and what a chilling tale! When it originally came out, my daughter was still a teenager and so I’m sure that’s why I didn’t read it then. It was my daughter who was the voice of reason when it came to dealing with my mother.

#BookSky Just finished another fantastic middle grade novel in verse. Kate Messner’s The Trouble with Heroes. It addresses two major traumatic events: 9-11 and COVID-19 with a deep sensitivity. Beautifully written!
