History is worth remembering. Be a good human being. Proud MN weirdo, gardener, paranormal researcher, retired electrical tech, adopt a shelter pet, donate blood, no one is illegal on stolen land. Tell your dog hi!
How would you feel? I'm irritated, do I contact them? I know the Instagram was public, but wth. This is why you need to be careful of photos you post, what if this was your kid?
So, imagine you're scrolling late at night because you can't sleep. Browsing an online store that leans towards bulldogs in particular. Then you get to a page and see a photo you took, of your dog that's since passed. Selling an item you didn't buy from them.🧵
Not a great picture, but these guys stopped in Detroit Lakes for a bite at Zorbaz. It's from the 40s, I believe?
In my late teens, into my twenties, I'd be alone in my apartment rocking out on my guitar to L7 while the guys all went to band practice. We lost an icon and an inspiration for many. Fuck cancer. And having to witness a dear friend fight brain cancer for years, fuck brain cancer in particular.
Closing out a lovely weekend. ☀️ Celebrated graduates last night with karaoke and a fire. Today, friends helped get the dock in, and I bought a banjolele at pride in the park! I also got my purple potatoes planted finally.
Ursa is finally back to her sassy self. She was up all night, then slept most of today. Now she's playing and being goofy again.
Proof... The girls have lost interest in the hockey game and are sleeping beside me.
Someone has been projecting local Minnesotan artists' art on Twin cities area water towers in response to "operation metro surge." Imagine my surprise seeing the painting I have hanging in my kitchen projected on a water tower. 🥰 This was in Vadnais Heights this week.
This snow is heavy, I carefully bonked the snow off my sad pine tree yesterday. Then again, this morning. Last night brought another 6-8 inches, with more on the way. Happy spring, Minnesota!
Wish B well, tomorrow at 6:30am Central, he gets a new knee! The first 40 years went hard...😆 My dogs are not happy about camp the next two days... So send them well wishes too. They'll miss their couch.
Post a photograph you took, no context, to bring some zen to the "feed".
I didn't feel like people-ing today. But I went anyway, and I'm glad I did. It's nice to have good people to surround yourself with and a comforting place to go. Besides my friends I met up with, I always make about a dozen new friends because of these two.
One time, sitting at a brewery on Lake Superior, this came chugging by.
If you ever doubted... Minnesota is planning a protest tomorrow. We're used to winter. But🧊 can GTFO.
