Several years ago a good sized oak tree fell in our back yard. Today I finally got around to cutting it up into logs and I pilled it up in the fire pit to burn at some point. And I left a few larger logs for stools around the fire. River of course approves.

I love the long, luxurious, and elegant coat of the Bearded Collie, but I know that I don't have the time energy and commitment to maintain that beautiful fur in a healthy manner for the dog. So I will never share my home with a Bearded Collie, but I will certainly admire them. #BeardedCollie #dogs

I am ready for spring flowers to return. I planted these Earlybird Red Yellow Columbine perennial flowers in 2024. They returned in 2025. I am hoping to see them again soon growing in our raised flower garden. #springvibes #photography #flowers

I planted this Giles Van Hees Speedwell at our house back in April 2024. If I remember correctly it returned for 2025. So I am anticipating that the flower will return for 2026. I am really ready for some spring blooms to return to my house. #speedwell #flowers #springvibes

It was so nice to start seeing signs of spring during my hike yesterday. Flowers beginning to emerge. Migrating birds. Saw my first turtle and snake of the season. Looking forward to flowers growing at home soon. Although the one featured here was growing in September of 2025. #springvibes

Got out for a nice long hike on the Catherine Valley Trail. Just getting time on my feet for my race at the end May. And testing out new trail shoes to see if they will be the ones I use for the race. @brooksrunning Cascadia 19. #hiking #trails #training

Totally gassed by the end. But the warm up and cool down felt good. lol.

This workout was tough. 1 minute speed repeats followed by 30 second repeats at a faster pace. I struggled to find the pace I needed and settle in. Always starting to slow then pushing to hard to speed up and over shooting the mark. #running #training #speedrepeats

Went for a nice hike at Watkins Glen State Park with River. She got to smell all the smells and really wanted to chase squirrels. The forest was soggy and the gorge ragged bellow flowing with water. But our trail was mostly dry. I love our little adventures. #bordercollie #dogsthathike #hiking
