Update- I continued making burrows around areas where I needed to get things done until a new migrant wave arrived (with dwarves not assigned to the burrow) and I noticed them acting normally outside the burrow area. I deleted the burrow and now everyone is working normally again. 🤷♂️
Anyone else have this issue in Dwarf Fortress where everybody stops hauling? The children still haul items and I can get the others to do it if I make burrows around areas where I need work done, otherwise nobody will haul/construct/dump anything. Workshop related tasks seem fine. #dwarffortress

You can go into the raws and add the [POWER] or [LOCAL_POPS_PRODUCE_HEROES] token to any ol' creature you want and if they're intelligent and can speak (I think thats all) then they have a chance to rule over certain civs in worldgen.

New Dwarf Fortress update is out! 100 new prehistoric animals added as well as 100 new animal people. Coolest thing is the slider which dictates how common prehistoric animals are. I drew the first thing I encountered- a pterodactylus woman and her pet trilobite. #dwarffortress #dinosaurs
