We kinda did for a little while 🥲. (I seem to read a lot of graphic novels huh)

Two panels form Alison Bechdel’s comic novel “Spent”.

In the first panel, Alison is pictured wearing a mask saying, “Y’know, I might just keep wearing this mask after Covid. It’s been such a relief to get my anonymity back”. Her partner is seen putting on her mask too, saying “Yeah, that was a real problem”.

In the second panel, someone asks: “Excuse me, are you Alison Bechdel?” to which she replies: “Why yes, I am”.

To think that it used to be normal? This was in a graphic novel published in 2018

Also tradies: just let me quickly set up my workshop on the cycleway

The AUDACITY of a white dude with a heavy non-NZ accent telling me to "go back to your country" when I call him out for riding his motorcycle in the cycleway. He was previously mounting footpaths to circumvent red lights, while also running other red lights before turning into the cycleway

Like, this is what they are ok with. (In this particular screengrab, the car has stopped because I was riding interference to make sure the driver has seen us)
