The line up of player on this one is stellar. The title track composed by Billy Harper has some great solos on it. #Jazz #JazzSkye #VinylRecords #GilEvans

Although I am elated that “Flyboy In The Buttermilk” is back in print (no shade on our brothas Qwestlove and Hanif Abdurraqib. Whom I’m sure turned in great reflections.), if I were the editor I would’ve gotten Arthur Jafa and @melvingibbs.bsky.social . In many ways, Ironman still in the house.

My favorite guitarist! I seen him perform live 4 times. The first time was the year that "Freelancing" and "Black Rock" was released. I shot this photograph at the second concert that I heard him perform at in Berkeley California. I just found out that he joined the ancestors on June 3rd,2026. 😥
I buy vinyl records for different reasons. Sometimes I’m just fascinated by the images on the cover. There’s a certain period when the photo lithography on some album covers was uniquely vibrant and beautiful. This is one from 1959 in remarkably good condition. #JazzSky #Jazz #VinylRecord
Beautiful solo and duet piano session by Elmo and Bertha Hope released on the Riverside label in 1962. #JazzSky #Piano #VinylRecord #Jazz
Reminds me of the contemporary work of painter Julie Mehretu.
This is the novel that the movie was based on. A #jazz novel by the late great John A Williams.
“Sweet Love,Bitter” a 1971 reissue LP of the 1967 soundtrack album by Mal Waldron on the Impulse label. On the turntable now. Masterful atmospheric hardbop from an extremely versatile and subtle composer/pianist. #JazzSky #VinylRecord #Jazz
Sublime recording. My copy is the OG pressed in Holland. It’s the only version with this alternate photo of Cannonball by Chuck Stewart on the cover. #VinylRecord #JazzSky #Jazz
