Had a few minutes today to make a haul for #FreeRPGDay, courtesy of Golden Keep Game Co.! Bought a Media Lab book (from one of my favorite, the Game Master's series) and the Tuesday Knight Games Mothership TTRPG, and then grabbed some other free goodies!

TTRPG materials spread out on a table, including products from Loke Battle Mats, Marvel TTRPG, Edge Studios, Media Lab Books (The Game Master's series), Tuesday Knight, and Dispel Dice.

Never split the party.

In 1969, a Minnesotan named Dave Arneson came down to Wisconsin and first met Gary Gygax. Five years later, what they designed together would not just be a new game, but a new form of gaming. It's worth noting that Arneson and Gygax did this during some of the most tumultuous years of our country's existence.

Sometimes, it takes millions of people to change the world.

Sometimes, it just takes two.

Let us remember that what we let happen in Dave's state could then happen in Gary's state. And then, yours. And then, mine.

In this moment, let us find courage in the stubborn kindness of strangers, and embrace love, joy, and hope over division, hatred, and hopelessness. We need every member in all the states of our adventuring party to unite, so we can meet and rise above the obstacles of injustices ahead.
