MSNOW reports Tina Peters is expected in Washington for Trump’s address on elections tonight www.ms.now/news/electio...
NEW: GOP Gov candidate Victor Marx is suggesting he’s endorsed by former Colorado Gov Bill Owens. Owens tells me that’s not true.
Colorado voters: Is Front Range Passenger Rail a smart investment or a financial boondoggle? Will it be useful and reliable? Front Range Passenger Rail: The train is fun and cool, like you! It wants to be your friend. Also, there is a cute fox mascot.
Colorado's passenger rail project needs voters to approve a tax hike. So it has a new name and cringe brandspeak: "Confident and trustworthy with a fun, lighthearted spirit, CoCo draws its personality from the people, places and unmistakable character of Colorado's Front Range"
Yet another national media article on the Colorado Gov’s race today. Can’t imagine these change votes in Colorado but they do make it uncomfy for the local media outlets that are ignoring or sanewashing some of Marx’s wilder claims.
Firefighters are turning the corner on the Aspen Acres Fire but hundreds of Coloradans have lost their homes and will need long-term help. We’ve raised $130k for the Southern CO Wildfire Fund. I’m matching fifty $5 donations: secure.qgiv.com/for/emergenc...
Seen in Florence, Colorado The historic Rialto Theater is updating the containment numbers on the Aspen Acres Fire on its marquee
COMMENTARY: Supporters of Sen John Hickenlooper and State Sen Julie Gonzales (and all Colorado voters) would have been better served to know that the CO Dem Senate primary was close. Here’s how I missed it:
A Coloradan named Kyle Clark got a thousand comments from strangers on his family's birth announcement on Facebook. My apologies.
I messed up badly. Had I known the CO SEN Dem primary would be remotely this close, I would’ve attempted to organize a debate and covered the race differently.
Complicating Victor Marx's longshot run for Colorado Gov (last GOP nominee lost by ~20%) is the presence of unaffiliated candidate Greg Lopez. Lopez is a fmr GOP Gov candidate endorsed by MAGA podcaster Joe Oltmann, who has called for the hangings of Jewish leaders in Colorado.
Was curious whether GOP Rep Gabe Evans in swing CO-8 would seek to distance himself from longshot/extreme Republicans on the ticket - like exorcist/Gov candidate Victor Marx and election denier/Sec of State candidate James Wiley. Evans is going with full embrace of both.
The Southern Colorado Wildfire Relief Fund is being organized, without fees or overhead expenses, by United Way Southern Colorado. The fund will meet the immediate needs of the thousands of Coloradans evacuated and help those who have lost their home with their long-term costs.
Hundreds of Coloradans have lost their homes in the Aspen Acres Fire in Pueblo and Custer counties. I'll match the next fifty $5 donations to the Southern Colorado Wildfire Relief Fund. Together, we've already raised $60,000: secure.qgiv.com/for/emergenc...
In 2022, GOP Gov nominee Heidi Ganahl also appeared on Oltmann's show to receive his endorsement. Ganahl lost to Polis by 19.3%. Oltmann claims Colorado's elections are rigged.
NEW: Unaffiliated candidate for Colorado Gov Greg Lopez appears on MAGA podcaster Joe Oltmann's show to receive his endorsement for Governor. Oltmann, who has called for execution of "Synagogue of Satan Jews" including Gov Jared Polis, had backed Scott Bottoms in the GOP primary
COMMENTARY: Despite wishful claims, Colorado’s Republican voters didn’t choose a turn toward the center on Primary Night
UPDATE: Victor Marx remains in control of the Colorado GOP Gov primary with a 1,950 vote lead, outside the automatic recount margin of 1,032 votes (half of one percent of his total). Allies of 3rd place finisher Scott Bottoms have alleged election rigging, without evidence.
The Park Hill Fourth of July Parade is one of my favorite Colorado traditions. A small but mighty team turned it into television for the first time, airing on 9NEWS and C-SPAN for America 250 Colorado 150.
Within hours of the news that Emily Barker, Nick Hutcherson, and Sydney Watson had been killed and two other firefighters were injured while battling the Snyder fire in Western Colorado, the Wildland Firefighter Foundation sprang into action.
The small town feel of Denver’s neighborhoods is one reason I love this city. The Park Hill Fourth of July Parade reminds me of my hometown. Excited to host the first broadcast of the parade on 9NEWS/CSPAN for America 250 celebrations. www.9news.com/article/ente...
Loved anchoring 9NEWS primary night coverage alongside our senior politics producer Mallory Harris, with the exception of this one moment
Big night at the Clark house. The smaller small one pulled out her loose tooth and dictated the following note…
As Victor Marx leads Barb Kirkmeyer in the Colorado GOP Gov primary, Scott Bottoms’ team is claiming the election is rigged. In the three-way race, Bottoms is pulling up the rear.
Phil Weiser says he's concerned Melat Kiros won't refer to the firebombing of Jewish people in Boulder as anti-semitism and will tell her that. "Black lives matter. Period." Weiser said. "Jewish lives matter... you don't put a comma an and or a but. Period. That's the message."
Democrat Phil Weiser is the overwhelming favorite to be Colorado's next Governor. He says Colorado would be better served with a more competitive Republican party. "Competition makes us stronger," Weiser said. "It's not healthy for any state to have one party that's dominant."
