Anglocatholic pilgrimage unlocked! Evensong and Procession and Benediction for the Assumption of Our Lady at ASMS 😍💙
In the parish library, watching Norway/England while mending purificator corners and friend walks in: “This is the most iconic Anna activity” 🤷🏻♀️
Ss. Peter and Paul - pray for us! Especially when we discourse and try to tear apart each other in the Church!
Oh that’s so marvellous!! I am so very pro-bee. One of the most special little Easter moments was on Easter morn when a big fat happy bumblebee just hovered around our paschal candle throughout Mass :’)
Taking a (very brief) break from being a religious nutjob and enjoying World Cup fever. I gotta say Vancouver is not actually known for being incredibly friendly and Canadian but it is funny still how many sorry’s I got from being mildly bumped into in the March to the Match
This passage of Bonaventure in the office of readings is a banger, I love it so much. Blessed Feast of the Sacred Heart! ❤️🔥
And for the Most Holy Trinity, taking the Quicumque Vult - chanted - into the streets to worship the Trinity in Unity, and the Unity in Trinity! 🕯️
It’s the perfect weather in Toronto right now which means outdoor procession season!! First taking Our Lady into the neighborhood with flower petals strewn in her way 🕯️
Made some flower crowns for Our Lady for her month :) (also my birthday month so I like May being Mary’s month!)
Sometimes you have a harder day and God sends two Chinatown shop cats your way to remind you of his love and mercy
Today’s antiphons are just my absolute favourites. I think I may meditate on the Benedictus antiphon quite possibly for the rest of Eastertide 🥹❤️
I got a mimosa flight for my post Easter Day Mass “I made it I may collapse into my food” brunch
The sanctuary lamps that were dark just hours ago have been lit, the flame taken from the Paschal Candle. And through the night still, they shine bright. 🕯️
Late night with Jesus. Tenebrae in the middle of the night. Being cold and back aching. Wondering what I was doing and if I even really knew how to pray. But I stayed as best as I could. And that was all. 🕯️
We take down the sanctuary lamps, the empty chains left swinging as if they too remind us how the Light was violently torn away. The night after Maundy Thursday is just my favourite part of the Church year. 🕯️
for context, this is what we did with our palms last year at our high altar so the palms need to be quite lively and fresh for us to successfully fan them out without breaking!
Any palm/plants experts around here? Is this mould or scurf? Should I be concerned whether my palms will rot before we even get to Palm Sunday? 😩 🕯️
It’s impressive how we’ve managed to break our brass lucifer/snuffer (what does everyone else call these?!)
A visit to the church supply store has convinced me that I need a new devotion to specifically the ✨glow in the dark✨ Infant of Prague. How funny I’m finding this may indicate I’ve lost my mind already by the 3rd day in Lent, rather than 3rd week
