Not going well for Netmums in the comments. I used them years ago, when Smells was little. They were bad then but now they’re intolerable, divisive and out to stir the pot
We want people to use public transport…which can’t cope in the heat…they won’t invest in upgrading despite massive profits…and yet the country is expect to carry on. As the kids say, make it make sense

London schools announce closures. I can’t imagine the heat there, and yet somehow people twist and turn this. Even if you’re a climate change denier & think this is just ‘natural’ those periods of warming still last hundreds or thousands of years. We *still* need to factor in safety

This is very lovely and pretty but I can’t even get the kids in school to pick up a pen off the floor w/o screaming “IT’S NOT MINE!” Or “IT WAS’T ME!” so I don’t know how they’d take care of a room that looked like this. Playing devils advocate, maybe that’s the point of having a room like this?
My local labour MP cosplaying as a little old lady in a half a mill seafront flat. She’s woefully out of touch with the majority of the town; particularly our young people and families. Generally makes me angry. But the cafe she’s talking about is great. Can’t see past her though
Ae are 4 days in. Theres two substantial leaks in town, on going for a week. This is a joke
Suspect teachers and school staff will be some of the last to benefit from a 4 day week if it ever gains traction
