Thích Quảng Đức Monument is a peaceful and meaningful place to visit, offering a glimpse into the life and teachings of one of Vietnam's most reThe act of self-immolation by Thich Quang Duc drew global attention to the policies of the Diệm government, with photographs of the event circulating widely. In particular, a photograph taken by Malcolm Browne won the World Press Photo of the Year, while John F. Kennedy famously stated that "No news picture in history has generated so much emotion around the world as that one".

The monument, built in his memory, features a bronze statue of the monk sitting in the lotus position atop a granite pedestal. Visitors can also see a relief depicting the fiery self-immolation that made him a symbol of Buddhist resistance.
