You could really see the smoke just hanging over things this morning. Excellent bird bathing today: hermit thrush, wood thrush, many nuthatches, yellow bellied sapsuckers, and a pair of ravens- one picking berries while the other sat the guardrail holding a vole in its beak. #SeenOnMyRide

Getting caught in the downpour is always fun when you're flying down mont king! Spotted a veery today who popped out of a bush, but this lovely creature kind of took the cake today! #SeenOnMyRide

Bikepacking time: round one! @gatineaupark.gc.ca park never disappoints. (It might make me want to cry with its 20% grade climbs, but it's so pretty I forgive and forget every time). This year's newest sighting: a mink! Lil cutie. #SeenOnMyRide

So, usually black eyed susans are super happy and bloom like bonkers, but right now I only have five potential flowers? Is this because it grew more leaves? So energy didn't go into blooms?? 🥹 I am sad. What say you #plant people?

Oh! I can play! This group of cormorants fishing together one morning while I was out for a run. They kept diving and flying to a new section together. It felt like I was running with them...

Took the new wheels for a spin and I'm in love. 💕 Got rained on, talked to a raccoon, a turtle, and tried really hard to find an oriole and a blackburnian warbler. 10/10. #SeenOnMyRide

Bird nerd alert: I thought I was going bonkers but I swore that I was seeing a swan at Meech on Sat and yes I have been combing around to see if anyone else reported a similar sighting and someone did on ebird. Same spot the day before. So check out my swan blob. 😂🦢 Very exciting. 🤓 #SeenOnMyRide

It was actually kind of perfect out there. I thought for sure I'd get caught in rain eventually... (my luck ran out when my shifting cable snapped 3kms from home and I had to bike home in one hard gear. 🫣 coulda been worse though location wise!). #SeenOnMyRide
