I think I may be a touch of an outlier among Americans. Land back, free healthcare is the right of all, including abortion and transgender care, and the imperial core owes a great debt to the rest of the world.

Finally, my favorite mech is the Annihilator. Widely regarded as "not very good" and "a mechanical goose made of bullshit," my beautiful son cannot go any faster.

Next is the Raijin - it's never gotten a good miniature, and much of its art has been unfortunate-looking. It finally got a look that brings it back around to something nice in the last few years... and there's been not a peep about a miniature.

Harri Kallio's art for the Raijin BattleMech. A wide-bodied medium mech with oddly squared-off toes on its birdlike feet, it has a face like a grinning cartoon dinosaur, and what passes for arms are wide flanges protruding from its humped back.

I've got three candidates - I'll start with the one I got someone else to agree is a scrungler - the Falconer. I've loved it since the original art, and continue to love it through every iteration, the goofy damn thing.

Matt Plog's old art of the Falconer BattleMech, a hunched-forward machine with arms tucked in tight, in front of and below it. Its legs look weirdly stiff, and they extend way up past the hips, while the body is bulbous. It's like a deeply unfortunate bipedal frog.

I'm going to call out the ones I think are true crabs, so I can learn something specific if I'm wrong.

The crab captcha posted above, with the top left, top right, and bottom middle creatures circled. I believe that the top middle and middle left are both in the spider crabs, the middle is of course a horseshoe crab, middle right a hermit crab. I'm inclined to say the bottom left is a squat lobster, and I'm not too sure about the bottom right.

A heatmap of peoples' guesses as to where Iran is. Some of them are in Antarctica, or Australia, or the United States, or otherwise places Iran most definitely is not. The great majority are on the right continent, and most of them are within 500 km of the center of the country.

Literally the first time I heard of Crimson Desert was the investors dumping the stock because the reviews were slightly worse than they wanted. Everything since then has been tire fire madness. Anyway, I made a placeholder for a horse battle painting.

I really ought to snag the emplacements set, if for nothing other than kitbashing shenanigans. I did already put an LRM carrier's missile mount on a Marauder of my own.

The best homage I can think to pay to @tweedabop.bsky.social , a really great artist I have a lot of genuine respect for, is a goofy sketch partially inspired by one they showed me while helping me figure out a better way to do shading. Little mitochondria violinist's a transparent PNG now.
