First thing, just because it irks me: Air quality in here sucks. I'm sitting near an edge with airflow and my CO2 monitor is already over 2500 ppm. How many supporters are gonna get sick? Or leave here with headaches?

Fifteen ittle bittle fluffy adorables!

Fifteen fluffy quail chicks in various patterns spread out on wood shavings under a red heat lamp.

Four quail chicks up close. On the left is a nearly all yellow fluff looking curiously at the camera. The other 3 are dark patterns on top and yellow underbellies. The second is pecking into the wood chips facing away. The next two are snuggled up with one looking at the camera and the other sleeping.

Chick number 5 got stuck for a minute and took a rest while half hatched. It looks like it may be all white when it feathers out.

Fifth chick resting with it's wing and head outside the egg, but the rest still stuck.

The newest chick is still wet, but all it's downy feathers look yellow except one spot on top of it's head. There is a second chick who wobbled over to greet the newcomer.

Quail eggs are starting to hatch!

About 40 speckled quail eggs in my incubator.

Our first quail chick of the year. Their feathers are still damp and they can barely lift their head. They have an egg tooth on their beak and gold highlights running in parallel strips down their feathers.

I just got my first flush of Lion's Mane! I feel successful! This is over 19 oz or 54g of mushroom!

We've just welcomed our first baby goat of the year and she already has her makeup on!

Baby Nubian goat face from the side. She has a pink nose with black tracing around her nostrils and lips. She has a white stripe from her chin to her forehead but is black from her shoulders to each cheek, with just a bit of white frosting edging along her very long ears.

This is a full body picture of her from just above and in front of her right shoulder. She stands with her legs splayed as she is still unsteady on her feet. Her body is mostly white with each foot tipped in black. She has black lining her nose and mouth, a black neck, and a black bottom with a white tail tip.

This is her face from the front. White from crown to chin, with a pink muzzle other than the nostril and lip outline. With her laid down, the rest of her looks black except that white frosting on her ears. She's so fuzzy!

This is just a slight angle on the previous picture. She is pretty fluffy and contented looking.

Yeah, Maine went something like 52% Harris, 45% Trump. He did win in District 2. The state splits its votes though so 3 of the states EC votes went Harris and one went to the orange turd. If we got everyone voting up here in 2, I am not sure he would win 2 either.

It shows the statewide results with Harris winning 52.4% and Trump getting 45.5%.

If you are curious, District 2 voted almost exactly opposite these results, and District 1 voted for Harris at 59.8% and Trump 38.0%. District 1 has a little more of Maine's voting population.

Use an Instant Pot with a Pasteurize setting. For us, pasteurization is the first part of the "Yogurt" cycle.

Display of my Instant Pot Ultra which has a setting for "Yogurt". It is also covered in fingerprints. We sterilize our machine inside and out before using it for pasteurization.

I used to have Kikos and Boers. I especially loved the fluffy brown Kiko babies that looked like teddy bears. I don't have any pics of them on my phone, so enjoy a long legged kid pile instead.

Hey newbies! We use alt text here because it has many uses and not just for our friends with low or no vision. I try not to like or retweet posts with images that don't use alt text. Just do it for me!

We hatched them from our incubator from our own duck eggs. Daddy was a Rouen and the moms were either Rouens or Pekins.

We think the biggest duckling up front may be intersex as their feathers keep changing back and forth from typical male patterns to typical female patterns. It is strangely beautiful.

Poor floof fell from a white pine after a storm. I caught him and brought him to a local rescue and he got surgery to remove his injured eye and is now an education birb for the rescue.

Barred owl fledgling sitting on a large rock between our house and driveway. He has his right eye squinted shut, leading me to capture him and get him care at a local wildlife rescue. He was almost 1 foot tall but weighed very little. He was mostly fluff and feet making chatter and clack noises.

Square 1. I have many, many more to go. I think it's not bad for my first Tunisian crochet ever.

A square made of maroon and white yarn in a pattern with scroll work and mouse heads. It comes from a YouTube account and the project is something like Norwegian Wonderland Blanket.

I made mine out of merino wool. While I definitely have some tension issues, it is soft and gorgeous and I'm pretty proud.

Me, a dark haired, currently pale skinned woman with glasses and an N-95 with an "I voted" sticker on my hooded sweatshirt.

Well have some babies too then. These were born during the State of the Union and have appropriate names: Dark Brandy, Sparkle Donkey Tequila, and Prince Eli My Precious. Hopefully someone out there gets all the jokes.

This is my Middlest kid (only her porcelain pale hands and red hair are in the photo) holding Prince Eli My Precious, a tricolor baby boy kid less than 24 hours after his birth. All his hair is poofy, his ears are longer than his face, and his lips are very adorable and he looks pretty darn satisfied.
