Bookworm, blogger, and baked good. Not always a nice person. Aroace, she/they pronouns. I talk about Anne of Green Gables a lot. I blog at Other places to find me:
See? Weird. Like did you not do the math of how much sugar is in a litre of pop til now? :P
@clh2oars.bsky.social I just got SO many Libby notifications because of you XD
You know what's deeply meaninglessly annoying? The Sprite x Tempo collab. Because it says limited edition. You know what else says limited edition? TEMPORARY FLAVOURS. You know what I know nothing about? Basketball. Picture me in the grocery store googling to see if this was some weird flavour.
He renounced his Canadian citizenship! He didn't even grow up knowing he WAS a dual citizen ship! NOT OURS.
They have teeth on their tongues and they have a bite force of 240 pounds per square inch, which they will follow up by twisting and pulling. Also they have very sharp claws.
I FOUND ONE FOR MY BODY. Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration mineral sunscreen SPF 50 It has a kind of tropical scent and it does linger, but I think it's a nice scent. I'm using this as my body sunscreen so I don't mind that.
And that's US prices. You're looking at 40 bucks in Canada for a hardcover a lot of the time. And everyone will say that it's not as much in USD but I don't live in USD. We don't make more money because the exchange rate is bad for us or something. People don't think about international audience
I don't mind thunderstorms but in the space of a month, we've had snow, a dust storm, and tornados, and that's about as much weather as I like. I cannot describe the way this tree was bending in the wind. At one point I legit skedaddled across the room because it was getting too close for comfort
No mooooooore someone else take a turn with the tornadoes. Three nights in a row is enough.
@quintonreviews.bsky.social Quinton, that was the worst app game I've ever played. I know it says the worst game but... it isn't lying. It's just mini-games and it's insufferable
Funny thing to me is I have to switch up how many of each colour I glue baste or I start losing it a little XD
Oh my god I do that too! Haven't in a bit because I've been super busy and also just a little on a kick of other stuff, but I love my junk journal. Let me see if I have any pages... Oh, I liked this one from Halloween. And this one was funny to me, but no one else got the joke XD
I moved all my stuff to carrd and honestly managed to make it look almost exactly like my linktree, and now I kinda wanna be like "make you one for 20 bucks" to people XD
AND liquid sunscreen in your hair can make it kinda gross and greasy. I bought this random, kinda sketchy powder sunscreen off Am*zon and I tried this out today, and if you apply a liquid sunscreen with like a makeup brush, and then use this to set, your hair doesn't get greasy and gross.
Banana Boat Simply Protect Kids. This stuff was cheap, but it's horrible. Greasy, thick, white casts on ME, takes forever to rub in. SO heavy and gloopy. Now some mineral sunscreens apparently take like 15 minutes to soak in but I had this one one for a while and it never did. Just forever sticky.
Now, sunscreen sticks should not be your main form of sunscreen, especially not chemical ones, because you REALLY don't get enough on with them. But I forget to touch up my sunscreen and then I get sunburn. And perfection is the enemy of good, so this will be helpful for me.
For days where I'm outside a lot, I use this Live Clean Sheer Face blah blah sunscreen, in like an SP50. They have one in 30 that might be better tbh but I do like to HAVE a higher spf and I've used this brand before and I like it pretty well. They say there's no white cast and I don't believe it.
I find this one the easiest to apply, too. I think POSSIBLY you could work with this if you have darker skin without getting too much of a white cast, but I really can't speak to that because I look like this in direct sunlight.
NOW. I can't use any of that anymore XD So my daily SPF is the CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30. This is a hybrid sunscreen. It has zinc oxide for a mineral spf and also chemical sunscreen boosters. I'm not allergic to any of those, but some people are so read the label.
Last chemical sunscreen - also surprisingly affordable, the Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch. This smells so nice. It feels like lotion. It makes your skin really soft AND it has a little bit of a shimmer in it so your skin looks pretty in the sun. It is oxybenzone, but has avobenzone.
This was the last chemical sunscreen I bought, the Biore UV Aqua Rich. Now, a lot of people really like the Japanese version of this, but the sunscreens used in that aren't allowed to be sold in Canada so when they brought it here, they used... avobenzone. Which I am very allergic to.
