Knee deep in rainy season now which got me to thinking about crayfish/crawfish, and I was curious how many species call Florida home. There’s nearly sixty of the little nuggets, hiding across the state. One of the most striking is the bright blue Procambarus alleni or Everglades crayfish.
You guys one of the night blooming cactus (Queen of the Night) bloomed and for the first time I actually managed to see it! This particular specimen may have been one of my mother’s which makes the bloom that much more special, especially because it’s coming up to the 7th anniversary of her death.
