I bought an automatic cat litter box, and it texts me to say one of my cats just took a shit, and this is just a painfully on-the-nose version of the We Built The Torment Nexus, but using @doctorow.pluralistic.net 's Enshittification.
I'm really looking forward to the bit where the Doctor and Romana throw their batarangs at the inflatable wavy man.
This is an image from an Amazon listing for an automatic cat litter box, and I'm not convinced it hits the 'product which will allow you to live in the perfect Star Trek future' vibe it's aiming for. www.amazon.com/dp/B0H6JKJ4K...
I'm drinking a drink called Frazil, the Tropical Fruit flavour. This is the best health and nutrition boast the Frazilians could come up with. This doesn't quite beat my favourite American food label ever 'inspired by the taste of beef'.
So I decided to illustrate this by breaking my solemn vow and using AI to make the picture. Prompt: 'make a picture of a pin impression toy where the impression is a hand' And ... here's what it came up with.
I just realised what AI image generators remind me of: Pin Impression Toys. They're diverting for a minute, you go 'yeah, that's fun', then you've basically seen it. And sure, you can keep pushing different shapes to make yet another shape, but that's all they actually do, it's profoundly empty.
Not into 'the football', but I'd definitely read this c1991 Booker shortlisted novel.
OK guys, Trump's not sitting on a towel because he routinely soils himself, there's a perfectly innocent explanation: they thought it was Vance who was doing the interview and wanted to preserve the sofa's modesty, lest he become overwhelmed with lust.
Oh no, three books arrived in the same delivery and I genuinely don't know which to read first. @annleckie.com , @stephengallagher.co.uk (and M John Harrison)
As an exercise, picture Kier Starmer here. He's running, and standing, but not walking away. He has, with almost his last breath, managed to perfectly define Starmerism: a vast amount of energy spent not going anywhere.
They ... don't just look like that in real life? This I gotta click ...
The nostalgia cycle means that around 2055, someone's going to assert that the mid 20s were 'good' and 'we should go back to them', so I want someone to find this image and caption, then cancel the fucking shit out of the live action Paw Patrol Six-Seven Mr Beast: In Search of Elon's Crypto movie.
Shock news: all those announcements of new factories and investment were bullshit sprayed with gold paint, and manufacturing has already declined 16% since Trump returned to power.
The people around him know, they must. They see this face every day.
This shopping centre is experimenting with a variety of systems of government.
