Two joined rings each with eight lights on them = the electrons. Atomic weight correlates with electrons —> 8 —> oxygen. Watch the movie again, I guess? There are means of capturing atomic scale images, but models (like in movie) are much more useful. E.g., www.researchgate.net/figure/a-STM...

O2 molecule = two oxygen atoms (atomic weight 8) with two "loops" (electron orbit) of 8 electrons each, connected / joined (covalent bond)

As a Pax Romana nerd + sculpture geek, can attest to Ancients & those whom they inspire / influence creating amazing art depicting “TQIA+” people. Example: “Sleeping Hermaphroditus” is c. 100-500 CE Roman marble copy of c. 150 BCE Greek bronze reclining on Bernini’s 1620 CE marble mattress.

[1] the figure, an Imperial Roman (circa 100-500 CE) marble copy of a Hellenistic Greek (circa 150 BCE) bronze statue, which was unearthed in 1618 CE in Rome, Italy; and
[2] the mattress, a Baroque (1620 CE) marble base carved by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, which supports the figure.
