got the rest of the crossbeams bracketed today. tomorrow I'll mark and drill the side rails, then assemble the entire top of the frame in its new home it's hard to see in the photo, but stickers indicate where the beam ends should land. yes the middle one is askew rn, no it won't be for long

finally got the top of the frame bolted square! each diagonal is 340cm, so I know I got it right next step will be to take the whole thing apart and position, mark, and drill the other five crossbeams

finished the first four angle brackets! just twenty more to go did not expect the near hole on the vertical flange on that third one to become that far off center when I accidentally drilled the pilot hole about a mm off, but it isn't a big deal

given tonight's lack of bandsaw, I went ahead and finished version 2 of the slabbing saw fixture once that fence is clamped to the table, it isn't going anywhere

A cross-slide bolted to a 120mm aluminum square tube, sitting on top of a small water-cooled table saw. There's a machine vise fixed to the slide, with a rough tiger's eye clamped between a pair of plastic sacrificial vise jaws.

ok I got over myself and started cutting bracket stock they aren't the prettiest cuts in the world, but they don't have to be pretty, they just have to be brackets

first new stuff-holder I'm printing, so that the flat lap discs have a place to live that isn't "all over the bench"

an OpenSCAD rendering of a holder for 6-inch lap wheels. It's beefy, with six mounting holes on the rear plate, and it's basically just a shelf bracket where the horizontal part of the shelf has nine slits in it to store lap wheels upright.

tool wall is expanded! now to figure out how to arrange stuff

A honeycomb storage wall consisting of 13 panels, 11 of them mounted to an orange wall and two of them mounted at a right angle to a white bookcase. 5 of them have tools attached to them and 8 are empty. There's also a gap in the middle row of the second column where a drill is hanging down.
