Lauowolf everywhere, but mostly around here these days
I was looking for a photo I remembered of my old Doctor Cat But I stumbled on this instead (And realized it's my account photo anyway) But this is Doc, living his best life
Love in the mist! The seed pods last a fair time in this colored state but will dry out to brown eventually About two feet tall Lots of flowers
@peculiarityshop.bsky.social It is hard to get a picture that really shows how SPARKLY this ring is. Lordy I do not regret splurging, not at all
The lot of them, from left: LittleLittle, Mr Bond, Mr Ant, ObviouslyMom We've got shelters for them in the backyard And I'm working how to tnr the lot of them Mr Bond is such a good guy He led LittleLittle and ObviouslyMom to the food and watched calmly as they ate He's okay around Mr Ant too
Me, I just added a betta fish to a small biorb tank And I'm totally happy with it I absolutely know biorb is a waaaaay suboptimal tank And no one gives any points for a betta fish But it's as much as I can manage right now And they're doing okay so far And I love them
This is the cat checkpoint. Relinquish the latest cat picture on your phone.
It's nap time And napping overrides all lesser concerns They can be antisocial later Right now warm and cozy are the priority ... they all got the memo about it about a hour ago
He's still at it, but they've decided they can be comfy while monitoring the sitation long-term.
This BIRD (possible bushtit?) has taken over The Ladies' window. He's found a long quince branch just outside and he sits there rapping on the glass. He spent almost an hour at this yesterday afternoon, basically just harassing them. And now he's back again, before 8am. What the hell is he doing?
The Ladies have had workmen doing sheetrock and painting upstairs all day It's quiet now The guys left, which means they won And they are vibing triumphantly I don't have the heart to tell them it's happening again tomorrow And tomorrow And tomorrow
He - Totoro - is still here He's part of a cat family, his mom and a number of siblings And he's an indoor/outdoor guy, only somewhat socialized His people know he's here BUT they also say he went back home over night and was seen there at 3am I'm not sure what the next step is Will continue feeding
So they've had her for twelve years Going into heat regularly Even with tranquilizers that's got to be A Thing Here she is at home ... her name is Stella, btw
... We have a very planted yard with lots of cat friendly areas and all the neighborhood cats end up back there I kind of, sort of, remember maybe a fluffy kitty back there, years ago But she hadn't been visiting me She'd been hanging out with Sextus All the cats love Sextus
Siamese lady is a sweetie She leaves a layer of fur behind wherever she sits I'd already picked off a handful from the chair at this point Two other chairs also had ur on them, but this was her favorite I thought about calling her Goldilocks, but it felt clunky But I settled on Grimm
So these little guys turned upon my porch last week They are both small and hungry She used to have a collar but no longer Neither is fixed Neither had been seen around lately She is in heat Not just humping, but together and friendly with each other She is quite approachable He is cunning and shy
These sweeties are now living on my front porch 24/7 Maybe a year old, tame, unfixed Extremely hungry, thirsty, used to have collars Probably dumped by local kids moving out between terms Am trying to track down someone local with an extra trap to get them to a vet for scanning and health check
The aforementioned rosemary It's practically assaulting folks on the sidewalk at this point
He is so old, and so sweet, and he's been yearning at them for more than a year
