next book is "Gay??" - Woodworking by Emily St. James. hey so this is one of the best books I have read recently it was SO GOOD. I'm going to recommend it to everyone. 2 trans women at different points in life, dealing with coming out, relationships, politics and being true to themselves...amazing.

book 4 is I Who Have Never Known Men, which I'm putting in the Alien Isolation category. I didn't love this book - am I heartless? maybe I just can't do books that are so open-ended
book 3 is The Awakening by Kate Chopin, which I'm putting in the Oooh Grrrl spot bc Edna really said "no thanks" to societal norms for women!! iykyk. I hadn't read this since high school and I'm glad I picked it up again
book 2 is Melmoth for the Mrs. Stone category bc the main characters are all academics who speak many languages. this book was interesting but so verbose, it lost my attention at times and I had to reread many parts
