Reread for the first time in ten years and I still love this book more than most of you. "The Spoonsize Boys steal the dollhouse toys while the cat by the fire is curled. Then away they floats in their eggshell boats, down the drains to their underground world"
Jesus Christ I saw this at random online and instantly started feeling like a greasy fucking sweaty scumbag.
This photo of Eiza Gonzalez is really somehow mashing a lot of very specific buttons in me. Would she be interested in a delightful romantic evening at Fuddruckers? I hope so!
Another one of those books that left a titanic imprint on me. I love Zelazny's prose style so much! Contemporary and playful and able to conjure honest wonder and just the right amount of bemused cynicism. It's truly a 70s novel and I adore that so much.
My favorite Michael Moorcock novel which also puts it in running for "One of my favorite novels of all time" Insane influence this had on me! Owe so many academic pursuits to this book. The ending makes me cry so much! You get a lot out of me when Lucifer is shown as very noble.
One of my favorite novels of the past few years? Probably! Two Ex-cons unleashing righteous vengeance and learning to get woke to avenge the death of their gay sons. Bits and pieces of this make me cry so hard and then everything else makes me go "Goddamn FUCK YEAH MOTHERFUCKER"
Really do feel I was extremely lucky to con my parents into buying me Vampire: The Masquerade for my 12th birthday and even more lucky that I conned them into buying Guide to the Sabbat along with it. Made me an old school World of Darkness loyalist for life which also helped me be cool.
Is Herr Starr the single funniest character in the history of comics? Objectively yes.
This picture is from the old Enchanted World: Ghosts book. One of my single favorite spooky pictures ever and if somebody could point me to the artist I'd be so grateful! It's a picture I've been spooked by and adored since I was a kid.
Wraith: The Oblivion rocks so much and I'd dare say it may now be number two in my World of Darkness gamelines. Which means it's in running as "one of my favorite TTRPGS ever" Doomslayers: Into the Labyrinth a big part of that! My first RPG experience with true dungeon crawling.
Gonna be blunt here: I actually don't really care/respect/or have empathy for certain views! Sorry it's called "being human" and honestly getting distressed over the word "intifada" mostly makes me go "LOL you sound like a real fucking dork"
I saw somebody say this is their favorite Punisher scene of all time and I am sorry that is such a lame fucking nerd thing to say. I would instead showcase all the sick-as-shit panels where Frank fucks people up in hysterical ways and I go "Fuck yeah Frank!"
Willa Fitzgerald is honestly neck-and-neck with Katy O'Brian right now in terms of "up-and-coming actresses I would walk across broken glass for" She's so fucking good in Strange Darling! And I already had a thing for her in Reacher. Honestly really into her also being from Tennessee...
I get more excited when I see Zealot pop up in a comic than the majority of important classic characters.
