I’m new to Tana French; picked these up at the Duncan Library sale and haven’t read yet. Any good?
#BookSky Polished off this quick, suspenseful read while on the Norway trip and got not a few question about it by fellow passengers on the fjord cruises.
#BookSky Have been a fan of Kate Atkinson’s for a while now but had not gotten to this magnificent work. A brilliant composition of alternative realities.
Hey! Single tickets to the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra’s 83rd season are now available at alexsym.org. Check out our dynamic finalists for our next music director as they serve as guest conductors this year. Seriously, friends, this is a top-notch group of finalists to take ASO to the next level.
Warmly received for our summer concert at the Arctic Cathedral, Tromsø.
Spectacular scenery here along the Norwegian coast. Gives brooding English moors a run for its money.
Cruising towards Tromsø past the Arctic Circle on yet another beautiful morning here in Norway. Our string of gorgeous weather over the past 10 days may be setting some kind of record.
Singing for the Pilgrims’ Service at the historic Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim was a truly moving experience.
Having an Asian fusion dinner al fresco at a World Cup watch party on a beautiful Oslo evening.
Heading here in 48 hours and could not be happier. Singing in the most glorious cathedrals in Norway, and sailing through the most magnificent fjords along the way. Fremad!
#BookSky This was an Audible book for me, so no real photo alongside Lakee. Also, I may never listen to an audiobook so heavy on data analytics (versus reading the print version) again, but some really fascinating insights here, especially for those of us who are members of mainstream churches.
#BookSky Really enjoyed The Plot, and this was a worthy successor (despite Trixie being less than impressed).
My lunch there yesterday was fantastic. Crab balls special FTW.
#BookSky Reading @rhodesben.bsky.social After The Fall, published in 2021, is even more of a gut punch knowing what happened afterwards. Been thinking about how to be an American in this time, and Ben’s book gives a lot to chew on.
Wedding anniversary #32 today, with Dear Husband still at our MA home and me down with a head cold. Who says we can’t do romance 💕
A picture-perfect evening along the Potomac for the Alexandria Symphony’s annual Garden Sounds fundraiser performance. A sold-out crowd heard Maestro Jim Ross narrate his career through meaningful classical pieces. An absolute delight.
#Booksky Top-flight Nordic Noir with Jo Nesbo at the height of his powers with the Harry Hole series. This is some real dark stuff, Neo-Nazis and all, and absolutely compelling crime novel storytelling.
Now at our just-remodeled Rockport MA home and the dark old kitchen we used to have now looks like this. I’m in love (with the man and the kitchen).
Viewing Mt. Greylock from your B&B room window is peak vacation experience.
Save me from eating everything there is in this amazing place.
