Many Canadia Gooses... Nothing like a trip to the duck pond to prepare for a 9 hour shift.
I've seen a few people posting these - I maintain that attempts to label one's political beliefs under a single identity are inherently reductive and lead to dogmatic thinking, but I'll wear the label "eco-socialist" with pride 😁 quiz.jmoxley.co.uk
I wonder how many pages of my PhD thesis have been written on the bus to or from my part-time job at this point, and how many more will be before I'm done... This is not exactly how I pictured the writing up stage 😅
I've always had a bad feeling from a book whose cover has the author's name in a larger font than the book's title...
Reading 1920s psychology articles with 2026 sensibilities is sometimes wild. I understand that this is an older use of the word and not at all intended as a slur, but this sentence still threw me off!
Ultrathin borders on screens and monitors might look cool, but where are students, academics, and writers supposed to stick their post-it notes??
YouTube claims that the advert depicting a 16 year old cartoon character tied to a chair and gagged in underwear whilst boasting about an AI that will "do whatever you ask it to, no restrictions" is within its community guidelines. Hmm, I wonder why violence against women and girls is so high.
Is it me, or is this blurb for "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction" just a little catty?
Two green books on immersive performance. Amusingly, in my own axial coding, I used the colour green to represent the Immersive Dimension because it "felt right". Why is "immersive" green?
Came across this little misprint in a 1989 book on literary criticism. A much needed reminder that it's okay to make mistakes, and nothing is perfect!
My axial coding is complete. Two years worth of collection and analysis, and now all I have left to do is tidy up the data and write it up!
Quite happy with how this lil' guy turned out. Need to get some larger brushes for painting larger than index cards!
The annotations that some people feel necessary to make in library books never cease to amuse me. I am grateful to people that leave these for future readers!
