6 months and 6 ultras done. This one was unique for me as an alarming amount of running and standing water was the "trail". This was also the first ultra where I felt fear a few times trying to navigate flooded trails next to a raging creek. A little too much adventure but a well earned 41 miles.

Well folks, 5 ultras down for the year, and this was my longest time to complete a 50-ish mile trek yet. I remember thinking, "I bit off more than I can chew, but I have to keep chewing". I learned more about myself on this adventure than any other, and I am overwhelmed with pride and gratitude. 🧡

I love running, but there's something about a dusty gravel bike after riding a few hours at my absolute limit that will always light me up. Hours of smiling and cruising. Today is the perfect day.
