Polaris reporting for scritches! He likes snacks, but he LOVES scritches
Polaris wasn't either. The hole was just like that when he got there
Who has four paws and is pouting about getting a bath? This piglet!
Do you like birds? Do you especially like it when they're borbs? I have some very wee soft and velvety birds and borbs for you at the @romancingthevote.com auction!
She had no use for people besides us. But she loved the kids at the youth shelter across the street. She'd say hi to all of them while they waited outside. One called her his therapy dog. Another gave her the "Evangelista" part of her name (she used to be Linda) because she was "a fucking queen."
She tried, but she didn't really "get" dog toys. Not balls, stuffies, or rubber/nylon gnawers. We had to handfeed her for a month because otherwise she just wouldn't eat dog food. She didn't really "get" other dogs either. But she did get offended if they walked by without paying their respects.
The shelter estimated her age at 4 which was almost assuredly low by at least two years but who cares, she was perfect. She gave very gentle kisses (haha!), she was very shut down, and disinterested in pretty much everything except sleeping for several weeks. Living in a shelter is hard.
Here's the first two photos of her from @seattlehumane.bsky.social We don't know much about her early life as she was a stray, but someone had loved her enough to love feeding her (She was 74lbs. When she died she was 38lbs), she had several litters of puppies, and someone once shot her with a bb.
Hey there bluesky, I realized that after literally years of chipping away at this, I never shared a picture of my latest tattoo
She came and godzillaed her way through one final game of Good Dogs, Bad Zombies 😭😭😭 my beautiful chaos girl
We took Anya on one last trip to her favorite place, the Seattle center. We revisited the magic tree that a squirrel once fell out of, she sniffed all the stuff, and someone gave her the rest of their artichoke pizza. A good Anya day all around
I'm gonna miss this perfect little face so much in all it's hues
CW: pet death We'll be saying goodbye to my sweet Anya on Wednesday. One of the hardest things is everyday I realize "this is the last time I'll ever do this" about something. Today was the last Saturday afternoon walk we'll ever go on
This is a cat checkpoint; relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone. 🐈
The rarely seen dirt kangaroo very happy in his natural habitat
After chatting with our vet, its very likely we'll be saying goodbye to Anya in a matter of weeks so it's good that nature decided to lay out a carpet fit for the Dame
Polaris definitely wouldn't know anything about excessive social enthusiasm to the point of upsetting/annoying anyone.
I don't think she likes her new grippy socks, but she looks so cute
he plays like such a baby when he's with his lil puppy friend
post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet (if you feel like it)
my son had his first breakup this month. his favorite dog who he's played with pretty exclusively* at the dog park since he was seven months old told him he was Too Much. so now he sits at the dog park and gazes sadly at his ex beau who is in fact named Beau while Beau plays with everybody but him.
