Bit by bit! Progress work on a commission. #wip

A very rough sketch of a figure standing in front of a gryphon with one hand on the gryphon's head and the other holding a cane that is angled toward the floor. They are posed as if in a formal portrait.

Same as the previous image, but with the clothing roughed in a large blockout of a very hefty fur cloak over their shoulders.

Same as the previous image, but with the linework done and a rough background plotted out for the composition. The linework of the woman and gryphon has also been filled with a flat grey to set them apart.

Same as the previous image, but with more work done. The background looks mostly done in an orange toned, interior view with a curtain hanging down in the front of the wall. There is a cutout door with a cityscape visible outside. The flat colors have been added to both the grpyhon and the woman and have been adjusted slightly to fit in with the background.

I did do a few studies a while back, focusing mostly on theatrical/movie makeup references. Freddy Kreuger's makeup was a big help actually, lol. I have an old nelf OC who was burned by dragonfire, so I tried to make it look as good as I could.

An illustration done in art nouveau style with heavy inspiration from Alphonse Mucha's work. It features my blood elf from World of Warcraft, Lanethid Daybinder, wearing a dress in silvermoon colors of red, gold, white and black. Her pose is a strong one with her head tilted back and angled to show strength and cunning as she looks down on the viewer. One hand rests gently at her side while the other grips the ornate hilt of a blade, a glow emanating along the lower portion of it. The background featured Silvermoon design and architecture with the central circular hub behind her following the design of the new sunwell/dawnwell.

Calais seems still, her long purple braid wrapped around her shoulders and neck with small tendrils of the void poking from it here and there. The largest tentacle moves in front of her face. One of her eyes is closed and the other is hidden behind the tentacle but is open, the purple glow of her eye visible through the semi-opaque tentacle.

Astalor is getting up-- but what's this?! It's Lanethir from the top row, oh noooo! sometimes you just gotta make yourself feel better by drawing something silly.

Planning out a nouveau style character piece and this time I am NOT gonna chicken out!! Thumbnailing is fun, you can really see me start to loosen up and get in the groove on the bottom row, haha. #wip

A series of six thumbnail pieces depicting a vertical style of art. Each depicts an elf woman in a pose. Most of them have her interacting with a sword, and some with an orb (of light). At this point the thumbnail only consists of loose sketch lines and a blocked-in figure.

Same image as before except Mir is no longer wearing his mask or bandana, which shows the rest of his upper face and head. He has several scars on his face and forehead that were previously covered by his bandana, but little else has changed except to show the backswept style of his blonde hair.
