My son, me, and my dad, starting out early in the morning to drive to Hamilton Ontario for an airshow. We got there a day early, and wandered into the hangar just as they were engine-testing a WW2 AVRO Lancaster 4-engine bomber. I can still hear it.

Sabatini's in the early 1960s, before the larger bottleshop and bar opened across the parking lot. The old: 12 taps (still kicking 12 great beers today!), maybe 200 beers in the coolers. The new: 24 incredible taps, about 2,800 beers on the shelf, about 100 whiskeys, maybe 30 tequilas/mezcals.

The Tony Pepperoni. Thin crust, cheese on the bottom, sauce, 1/4" dice pepperoni IN the sauce, cup-and-char pepperoni on top. And notice: no "bone" on the edge. Sabatini's toppings go right to the edge; Lindo's grandfather was of the opinion that the big ring of untopped crust around the edge was cheating the customers.
If you haven't been, please don't think you know what this pizza is like. In fact, NorthEast PA is full of a variety of unique pizzas, many of which are deliciously different.

I've seen several "NO WEAPONS ALLOWED" signs recently at restaurants in Pennsylvania. Is this related?

For what it's worth, I was there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was quite friendly and welcoming, and the meatball sandwich was really good. No one asked if I was packing.

Had a political banner made and hung it today. Ray Bilger is the Democratic candidate for PA's 15th District, running to unseat the incumbent election denier, Glenn "GT" Thompson. GT won the last 5 terms with about 70% of the vote each time. Uphill fight? Yes, but you gotta fight to win!

Bilger is the Democratic candidate for PA's 15th District, running to unseat the incumbent, 2020 election denier Glenn "GT" Thompson. Bilger is a vet, an intelligence officer, and a Centre County native who lives over the ridge from me. He's the right guy to toss Thompson, whose main achievement in 9 terms in Congress is a law that requires public schools to offer whole milk.
Oh, and there's this: "In July 2022, Thompson voted against the Respect for Marriage Act, which would codify the right to same-sex marriage, just days before attending his son's same-sex wedding." What a guy.
