My partner got the best letter from my nephew, nothing can beat this, we both died laughing
I got another masterpiece of a letter in today’s mail. “Hm, I remember there was a ‘u’ somewhere it didn’t sound like it belonged in her name…good enough, ship it!”
Yesterday I was exhausted so I decided fuck it and just spent the whole afternoon drawing soothing squares in my planner
Not 100% sure of the etiquette, but surely overdressed >>> under in this case. I also enclosed a bunch of stickers and a business card, just because
His brevity is an example to us all. Isn’t the real message that someone thought of you and sent a letter?
Sealed with a fuckin SICK shark, like all the finest correspondence
I’m working on this ridiculously elaborate pencil bag for my nephew, and at this point I could easily make the parts into a bag, but I want it to be an AWESOME bag so I have a lot more work to do
I made a rough mockup of the spinosaurus pencil bag I’m making for my nephew’s birthday, and now I’m pretty sure my concept will work!
I don’t have pet pics but hopefully these fossil friends are close enough. I’m working on creating a good display so they’ll all be visible and I can admire them
I actually recreated a killer asparagus salad my sister made when I visited her. Barely-steamed asparagus, every herb you’ve got, pistachios, and shaved parm. I made a lemony Dijon-shallot vinaigrette and it’s delicious and greeeeeeeeeeen
I have a colonoscopy tomorrow so I’m currently trying very hard to suspend disbelief that this broth is a delicious soup for my lunch

Doing my year in review in an extremely normal and chill (and soon to be color coded) manner
My bread game is getting pretty good. My pics are nothing to write home about, but this loaf is delicious
I’m stuck on this project because I haven’t come up with a perfect way to do the next step and I’m worried that if I just…start, I’ll fuck it up
Figuring out why some ideas don’t work and iterating my designs (I’m gonna have to redo the first ones, I just know it) and improving my ability to physically cut cardboard is useless in one sense but in another it’s the whole reason to do it. Anyway, here’s a trilobite in a prototype frame
This morning my partner took me out for fancy pastries to celebrate my exam results! (In fairness to him, I expect there might have been pastries in any case if the results had been different—consolation pastry could be very cheering)
Today I got a mysterious text from my brother asking if I’d be home, and this afternoon I got some calls and texts from an unknown number that turned out to be a delivery person. So I ran downstairs and was handed these from my brother and his gf!
Last night my family had a whole bakery cake and a bottle of champagne delivered to my apartment to celebrate “with” me
…and I’d like to express my appreciation for the bottomless well of motivation my ex provided on this journey in the following words: the hell I can’t
I want to have a beautiful Natural History display instead of just a bunch of cool rocks and fossils sitting on a shelf, so yesterday I prototyped a frame for this handsome trilobite
