Making dollhouse miniatures in Vancouver, BC. 🇨🇦 1:12 scale: Husband: @tds.xyz
This tiny French gimlet was years in the making.😅🍸 I made the cocktail shaker+jigger set back in 2024, St-Germain bottle in 2025. Last month I finally figured out how to make the hinge on the tiny citrus press actually work. The final touch was sculpting the tiny lime halves.
Falstaff got his name because the white at his throat used to go all the way around his neck and looked like an Elizabethan ruffle collar. His brother’s name is Benvolio. 😊
A few months ago, I was inspired by a post about a medieval cat to make a mini of one of my cats 😂
Hi Theresa! Thanks for asking! You reminded me that I completely forgot to tell Bluesky about the miniatures that I made of these guys! 😅
When it’s time to go the vet, getting Falstaff (the tuxie) into a carrier is a whole ordeal. But if you just leave the carriers out, both of them will happily chill in their carriers like it’s nbd 😂
I voted. I want a sticker but posting on bluesky is the closest thing I can get 😂
I’d been craving maritozzi since Italy but couldn’t find them in any of the Italian style cafes I went to in Vancouver. So I made my own! Not the roundest, even after an overnight rise, but still yummy. 😋 And my mini ones are spherical enough!
I finally finished the little purple tulips that I started last week but in the meantime I put pink nail stickers on and now they clash. 😅😅 Oh well. Luckily, the tulips will last much longer than the nails. 😂 🌷🌷
I made a cat with flocking “powder” for fur. I had no idea that flocking came in different lengths until my order showed up with “5mm” printed on the label. I thought it was too long at first, but now I think it’s too thick.
@tds.xyz brought flowers for our anniversary last week. They reminded me (especially the hydrangea) of my mini flowers from friends, which reminded me that I haven’t made or acquired any new minis in a while and maybe I should get back to it? 😅
Here’s a little tour of my accidentally cat-themed reading nook, with all the iterations of our dearly departed @molsonkitty.cat 🥺
The URL @molsonkitty.cat is about to expire and I’m not going to renew it. I’m having feelings about this, but at least there will always be a mini-Molson around to use the mini versions of real Molson’s stuff. The 3D print files are available in my Etsy shop: mini3dprintables.etsy.com
Just added the gooseneck kettle print files to my shop! Still haven’t added the coffee grinder even though I designed it ages ago. I printed the hopper & bin in spiral vase mode, but I like to give the option to print as-is or in resin so I’ll need to redo those parts first.
Look at my hot sauce collection! Okay that last bottle isn’t hot sauce, it’s sesame oil. 😅
Remember that mini Chemex video where I kinda faked it with pre-ground coffee and the wrong kettle? 😅 Well… look what just arrived 👀☕ Mini grinder and gooseneck kettle are now in the house—next time, we brew properly.
I had been wanting to make a needle felt panda for a while and *finally* got around to it. When I first started, I wasn’t quite sure how much realism I was aiming for, or if this should be a 1:12 scale plushie toy. But as it progressed, it became evident that it’s just a little baby. 🥹
Mini-Liang visited Rosa’s roomboxes while we were visiting last weekend.
Do you think medieval painters knew how funny their cats were? Like, they didn’t have the word “derp”, but surely they had the concept?
Not the bottle of Nature’s Miracle stain and odor remover for cats being used as a weight 🫣😅 The girl I used to be 😂
My dolls are living my best life. 🥱😴💤 Spot the mini @molsonkitty.cat in each scene 🥹
I haven’t felt like making minis lately so I thought I’d pull myself out of my rut by printing some models from Thingiverse at 8.33% of their original size. While the physical act of colouring the squares was kind of therapeutic, I ended up enlisting the help of my paper printer. 😅
The crowd got a bit bigger than this but it was still hard to hear much because an exercise class outside a hotel across the street was louder. 😅
