The fact is, Democrats like me are disgusted with what the Republicans have done to their party. But we're also done debating, arguing, or even associating with them. That doesn't mean we're not strong—it means we recognize they're a lost cause. Why waste time trying to reason or work with them?
Fact is democracy cannot coexist with a society divided along class lines, as the ruling class holds disproportionate access to the means of propaganda.
Success or failure will rest on both the Trump administration and its supporters who empowered these decisions. While I have my own opinions, the outcome—good or bad—will shape the future of this country and be recorded in history.
With Trump now having a Republican-led Senate, a House majority, and a conservative Supreme Court, this is the moment for his administration and the Republican Party to reveal what they truly stand for. Success or failure will rest on its supporters who empowered these decisions.
