actually here. here's everything that I got screenshots of. there were I think a couple more skeets on the theme of "writers can't edit their own work, not really" before the Big One, but the Big One is. whoof.

So when you "edit" your draft, what you're doing is not in fact "editing" in the sense that a professional editor does it. You're just proofreading, really. Spotting any obvious errors, punching up the wording a little, clarifying stuff that's so unreadable even you can't make sense of it.

You wouldn't pay an editor to do that. That isn't what they're for. An editor is there to break your heart and destroy your confidence. They're there to be ruthless, because someone has to be that person before you reveal it to an audience who will tell you the same things when it's too late to fix.

damn, they deleted in between me taking a screenshot and me realizing I should copy the text for the alt text after cropping the screenshots unfortunately for them I believe that bad a take deserves a screenshotting and manual retyping for alt text

A standard issue tabby cat curled loosely on a bed. He is mostly on his side, with his legs mostly pointing in sensible directions. One of his front leg joints is tucked next to his chin. His name is Charles and he is very good.

The cozy den of a fluffy white cat tree. The den is occupied by a dark gray shadow, mostly tucked away in the far corner but one paw stretching towards the entrance. If you squint you can just see one eye cracked open and reflecting a glint of light. (Her name is in fact Shadow.)

I hope this extremely fluffy belly brings you happiness. I'm pretty sure she wanted me to pet her, but rudely all I did was snap this picture and go back to finding clean shorts to wear.

tried to get a pic of the boy being long on my bed earlier today but he thought I was coming to lie down and he had to vacate the premises before I could try to snuggle him alas, this was long enough ago that the bed is no longer warm

It's taken a year, but I guess the fact that my room is the warmest in the house means the cats have come to an agreement that Charles can be in my room if he wants.

so neko atsume 2 has a subscription option that's between less than 2 and like 5 CA$ a month depending on how many custom cats you want. so yes I am paying $1.5 a month to immortalize our late calico. and also have a helper cat who refills the cat food
