Mom, chaplain, state lawmaker, and candidate for Congress. Driven by my faith to build a better IA02
Can anyone identify what kind of dinosaur this is? Also, if you can identify it, you have to share one cool fact about that dinosaur species.
1/I love their candles and I'm glad they're succeeding in this increasingly tough economy. That isn't true across the board the though and you continue to deny the realities people are facing. Parents who are struggling to pay their mortgage or put food on the table.
Higher prices, Iowan's lives lost, and tens of billions of dollars spent on another forever war in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Iowans are struggling to pay for healthcare and groceries. Congress must reassert its power here.
1/I moved to northeast Iowa over a decade ago for a job opportunity at Loras College where I was able to foster connections and build community. Joe Mitchell moved here last year for the opportunity to get elected to Congress and climb the D.C. social ladder.
In Congress I will support efforts to extend the expanded ACA tax credits to help bring health insurance premiums down.
We are building a movement to flip IA02. The only piece we are missing is you.
It was an honor to speak at the IDP's Liberty & Justice event. There will be plenty of photos and videos incoming, so stay tuned.
My super sophisticated campaign strategy: just showing up. Want to help? Donate via the link in the comments or in our bio.
Workers in Iowa lose out on an average of $900 million in wages a year due to wage theft. It is time for Congress to start standing up for working people.
Some people swear by CrossFit, others by cycling classes and others still by yoga. My secret is parade season.
Reproductive healthcare decisions should be between your doctor and you. Joe Mitchell doesn't need to be in the middle.
1/While I am extremely proud of the legislative work I did fighting for the residents of Table Mound, the credit belongs with the organizers who brought their mobile home community together to fight back against predatory companies trying to profit off the vulnerable.
I have been fighting for mobile home residents in my state house district for years now. While we've had some success, there is so much more that needs to be done. We can't allow these predatory private equity companies to continue buying up workforce housing and destroying our communities.
Iowa is number one for rising cancer rates in the country. We need to get serious about this crisis, that means funding research and making sure folks have the healthcare they need to get screened and treated.
I am in full support of this bipartisan bill and think the President should sign it immediately. We absolutely need to build more housing and I will support any effort in Congress to do just that.
After leaving the Iowa House, Joe Mitchell founded a lobbying firm to influence the Iowa House. You don't leave the fox in charge of the hen house. Joe is more of the same revolving door swamp that has been corrupting our politics for years now.
"I do not believe there is a problem in this country or the world today which could not be settled if approached through the teaching of the Sermon on the Mount." - President Harry S. Truman
I will protect Social Security by lifting the cap and making sure billionaires pay their fair share. Joe won't because that is who he wants to go to Congress to work for. He'll raise the retirement age, cut benefits, and privatize social security because he only cares about pleasing the DC class.
I get my opponent not knowing what the district looks like considering he just moved here, but you think he would at least know what Iowa looks like.
Short answer, yes. Long answer, Social Security is a vital program and I want the same benefits generations before me have had to be around for my kids and their kids. We can do that by ensuring billionaires pay their fair share into the Social Security system.
It is becoming more and more clear everyday, the path to the majority goes through IA02.
From the feeling on the ground to the Cook Political Report, things are happening in IA02.
You will always have me there with fried cheese and ice cream.
Hi Team Trump. Since I have your attention. The high cost of food due to your tariffs and war, and the healthcare cuts that've closed clinics and laid off nurses are hurting Iowans. If you're ever interested in policies that help IA02, not just politics, let me know. I'll be there.
There are plenty of politicians in D.C. who have the backs of lobbyists and big corporations. I've got YOUR back.
1/As more and more workers in Iowa are facing layoffs, we should not be cutting off vital aid they need. Workers who are already struggling with gas and food prices are now losing their paycheck. They want to work. But big corporations only see them as a number on a spreadsheet.
