Tomorrow is our first Gulfton canvassing event! 📍💙 Our volunteers will be out in Southwest Houston/Gulfton helping families learn about health resources, Link Health services, federal benefits like SNAP, and voter readiness.

School is out, but food support may still be available. ☀️🍎 SUN Bucks/Summer EBT provides $120 in grocery benefits per eligible school-age child during summer in participating states. Some children may be enrolled automatically if their household receives SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, or certain other benefits

SNAP rules are not always simple. 🛒 Some states are expanding restrictions on what can be purchased with SNAP, including items like soda and candy. These changes are a reminder that benefit rules can vary by state and may be hard for families to follow.

Help connect Gulfton families to health resources! 💙 Link Health is looking for volunteers for a Southwest Houston/Gulfton outreach campaign to help people get enrolled in federal benefits like SNAP. Training is provided, and no one canvasses alone. 🙌 First canvass: July 25 Time: 8 AM–12 PM
