Stormy sky over Sywell Reservoir, Northampton, on a wet and windy day last week. The water is low, so they can do maintenance to the dam.

The water valve tower and dam are visible in the distance. The trees surrounding the water are lush, and there are many shades of green. The sky has a deep blue-grey heavy cloud, and in the foreground is brightly lit grass by the evening sun.

The water is very low, and there are large areas that look like a beach. The council have purposely lowered the water by 3 metres so they can do repairs to the dam. The dam was built in 1906.

Osprey! Blue 25 just landed at 12.29 on the Manton Bay nest and h a good look around. She is the first Osprey back at Manton Bay. She left at 12.34pm. She has her own successful nest nearby. #UKOspreys #UKBirds
