This was our local mall growing up in the 90s. When we had to park in the far outer stretches of the parking lot, my (English speaking) mom called it “galut” which means “diaspora/exile” in Hebrew. Which makes the mall itself…the promised land.
There’s also the mysterious phantom crossing of the Ballard locks that shows up on maps but doesn’t actually exist. The circled path is not actually a path. I don’t know why it never gets fixed on maps.

Yeah we live in a different universe here in Seattle (and the coast down to the Bay Area). Sent kid to outdoor summer camp in a sweater and coat this am.

Kid wrote captions for Lego “museum.” The middle one reads “we made our next Lego peace, a pairet. A pairet is a larg wing of Lego colerfle Lego peaces. And it’s yoused for flying. We also mad flowers that are whiat and purpple and we have leafs and a stamp [stem] and a whiat and black face
While riding my Aventon pace e-bike, a screw came out and landed in my left shoe. I can’t figure out where it fell out from. Any guesses?
